Operation French Kiss: 200,000 French Jews Planning Aliyah
By JNI Media January 19, 2016
Well before the November 13 Paris terror attack and the recent incidents in which Jews across France have been attacked by violent Muslims, many French Jews were already considering Aliyah to Israel, polling service Étude IFOP discovered in an extensive survey conducted last September and published this weekend in JSS News, a French webzine produced in Israel.
The survey offers a peek at the views of the French Jewish community, the largest in Europe and third largest in the world. According to the survey’s findings, as many as 43% of French Jews are planning to make Aliyah. As the commonly accepted figure for the size of the French Jewish community is 500,000, then Israel is about to be conquered by as many as 200,000 French Jews and Netanya would surpass Tel Aviv as the second-largest city in Israel.
At the same time, as many as 43% of French Jews are considering a move to countries other than Israel, the most popular of which are the UK, Canada and the US. It is possible, however, that these two groups might be the same group mulling several choices, while an estimated 57% of the Jewish community would still prefer to remain in France, but probably without a yarmulke.

Doesn't the Bible say in the last days the Jews from around the world will go back home to Israel?

It so does, Barb.

With immigration surging, French 'mass-aliyah' lands in Israel
Yoni Kempinski, 20/07/16
More than 200 new immigrants from France arrived in Israel on Wednesday in a special flight organized by the Jewish Agency in conjunction with the Immigration Ministry and United Israel Appeal.
A majority of the new immigrants are children or teens who will begin their first year of school in Israel at the end of summer vacation.
The new arrivals were received at a welcoming ceremony at Ben Gurion Airport hosted by Jewish Agency chief Natan Sharansky, Immigration Minister Sofa Landver, and Keren HaYesod-United Israel Appeal chairman Mody Zandberg.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the aliyah? Is it "The house of Judah" or "The house of Israel" that is returning.

IDF Foreign Recruits Stream To Israel
By Tsivya Fox August 8, 2016
“Be strong and of good courage; be not affrighted, neither be thou dismayed: for Hashem thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9
The Israeli army (IDF) was originally established through Jews from all over the world volunteering to protect the Holy Land. This tradition continues until today.
This month alone, the IDF is welcoming close to 500 volunteers from 21 countries. According to the Defense Ministry 2016 statistics, 45 percent of foreign volunteers are from France, 29 percent are from the U.S. and 5 percent are British. These recruits are considered “lone soldiers” (soldiers without family in Israel or native Israelis who are orphans or estranged from their families) even if they have not made aliyah (immigrated to Israel).
Brigadier General Yehiel Gozal, CEO of The LIBI Fund, the only official fund of the IDF, explained to Breaking Israel News that Nefesh B’Nefesh, an organization which facilitates the integration of new Israeli residents into Israeli society, cannot help people who volunteer to serve in the IDF if they haven’t officially made aliyah.
“That is where LIBI steps in,” he said. “We ensure that volunteer soldiers are treated as well as lone soldiers. After all, they are dedicating their time and lives to help Israel.”

Rabbi Tuly Weisz and Israel365 Welcome Mass Arrival of 223 American Jewish Immigrants [PHOTOS]
By Staff Writer August 18, 2016
“Thus saith Hashem: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for thy work shall be rewarded, saith Hashem; and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for thy future, saith Hashem; and thy children shall return to their own border.” Jeremiah 31:15-16
During a low point in Jerusalem’s long history, when the Children of Israel were forced into exile following the destruction of the Temple, the prophet Jeremiah promised that one day the “children would return to the borders” of Israel. This stunning prophecy was fulfilled on Wednesday as a group of 233 olim (new immigrants) landed in Tel Aviv on the wings of an El Al Boeing 777 and were met by an enormous celebration.
On this flight, Nefesh B’Nefesh, the organization that helps North American Jews immigrate to Israel, celebrated a significant milestone: the aliyah (immigration) of its 50,000th newcomer. Rebecca Glanzer, 22, from Brooklyn, NY, graduated recently from Columbia University with a degree in economics and is hoping to serve in the IDF’s Artillery Brigade.
“I have been looking forward to making aliyah and serving as a lone soldier in the IDF for so many years, and it is so crazy to me that this dream I had in high school is finally being realized,” said Glanzer.
Rabbi Tuly Weisz, founder of Israel365 and publisher of Breaking Israel News, was at the airport to welcome the olim and present gift bags, courtesy of donations from Israel365 readers, to new immigrants. The bags included mezuzahs for their new homes in Israel, copies of The Israel Bible and envelopes of Israeli shekels to get them started.

Israel Prepares for Mass Immigration of French Jews
Deborah Danan 20 Dec 2018
TEL AVIV – Israel is launching a government-wide initiative to encourage as many as 200,000 French Jews to immigrate to Israel, Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett announced Wednesday.
Concerned about their future in France in light of a series of Islamic terrorist attacks in recent years, as well as a rise in anti-Semitic incidents in general, French Jews are increasingly investigating the idea of resettlement in Israel. Data shows that 43% of French Jewry, or some 200,000 people, have expressed interest in making aliya, or immigrating to the Jewish state.
“Every Jew in France should know, as should Jews anywhere in the world, the State of Israel awaits them with open arms,” Bennett said in statement.
“Immigration to Israel does not end on the day of arrival, that is just the beginning,” Bennett continued. “The State should assist in absorption in all areas — language, education, housing, employment and more. We will do it.”
