BREAKING: American Pastor Saeed Abedini and Other Americans Have Just Been Freed
By Jay Sekulow
American Pastor Saeed Abedini has just been released from imprisonment in Iran.
For more than three years, Pastor Saeed – a U.S. citizen – has endured imprisonment in Iran.
We can now officially confirm that Pastor Saeed has been freed. In addition there are reports that 3 other Americans imprisoned in Iran have also been released.
News broke late last night that Pastor Saeed had been taken from his prison cell to Iran’s Central Intelligence agency. While the details are still coming in, we can confirm that this morning he was released.
This is a major victory. We are incredibly grateful to the more than 1.1 million people who have joined us in fighting across the globe for Pastor Saeed’s freedom.
We’re delighted this day has finally arrived. American Pastor Saeed Abedini spent more than three years in an Iranian prison. We’re grateful for the millions of people who have stood with us in our ongoing efforts – both in this country and abroad – to secure his release. We have worked and prayed that this day would finally arrive. And now, Pastor Saeed can return home.

American Pastor Saeed Abedini’s Message in Phone Call to Supporters: “May God Bless You For Everything You Did”
By Jay Sekulow
I just got off the phone with American Pastor Saeed Abedini – a U.S. citizen – who was just released this weekend from an Iranian prison after more than three years of harsh imprisonment for his Christian faith.
I cannot underscore enough how grateful he is for the tireless efforts of the millions of people who prayed and spoke out for his freedom over the last nearly three and a half years.
In a phone call from a U.S. military hospital in Germany where he’s being treated, Pastor Saeed thanked our entire ACLJ team and the more than 1.1 million ACLJ members who worked to secure his freedom, saying, “May God bless you for everything you did.”
Pastor Saeed has endured the worst conditions imaginable. He is now free and looking forward to returning home to America. He is receiving much needed medical care at a U.S. military base in Germany and his road to recovery from all he has endured will take some time. Please continue to pray for Pastor Saeed and his family.
I want to join Pastor Saeed in thanking all our friends and members here at the ACLJ who have stood with us, resolute, in our advocacy across the globe for Pastor Saeed’s freedom.more aclj.org/persecuted-church/american-pastor-saeed-abedinis-message-in-phone-call-to-supporters-may-god-bless-you-for-everything-you-did

After Years of Demonic Abuse, Pastor Saeed's True Condition Revealed
CBN News 1/20/2016
Pastor Saeed Abedini is in good physical, spiritual, and emotional health just a few days after his release from an Iranian prison, Rep. Robert Pittenger told CBN News.
Pittenger met with Abedini Tuesday afternoon. The two men talked and prayed together for about an hour-and-a-half.
"His spirits are great. He looked in good physical health," Pittenger said. "I think he's come out of it very well, mentally, physically, emotionally—he's engaged."
The North Carolina congressman flew to Landstuhl, Germany, as part of a delegation to meet Abedini and three other freed Americans. He's been a public advocate for the pastor's release since 2013.
For the most part, Saeed was kept in isolation, but in the past six months the Iranians began to give him better food and treatment.
Pittenger believes that's because they planned to release him once the Obama administration's nuclear deal with Iran was finalized.
"I think the Iranians had probably predetermined they were going to be releasing him, so they took good care of him, I think, the last six months," Pittenger said. "I think they treated him very well and fed him well to make sure he was fattened up and looked good."
Abedini is unsure of his immediate plans but is seeking God's will for his life and his future.
"He is very close to the Lord, we had a wonderful time of prayer. He senses God's calling on his life and he wants to please Him by way of his life and his family first," Pittenger said.
"He prayed very sincerely that he wants to be God's person and he wanted to be responsive to His will in his life and wants to be the caring husband that he desires to be," he said.
