Obama vs. Netanyahu: 'Fundamental clash' of worldviews

A well-known author and evangelical Christian says Israel has to contend with a Palestinian leader who incites his people to violence against the Jewish people – and a U.S. president whose ideology apparently blinds him to that reality.
President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Monday for the first time in months. According to The Associated Press, both leaders are reaffirming their commitment to what is described as "the peace process" with Palestinians.
Earlier this week, author Joel C. Rosenberg said the problem is not that Netanyahu isn't willing to sit down with Palestinian leaders.
"The problem," he said, "is that Palestinian leader Abbas isn't willing to sit down – and [that he] continues to incite Palestinian violence. The Palestinian people are really trapped – not under Israeli leadership, but under Palestinian leadership."
Despite the meeting between Obama and Netanyahu, the political debate continues – as does the tension between their two countries – over the controversial nuclear deal with Iran. The Obama administration maintains the deal keeps Iran from getting a nuclear weapon; but Israel remains concerned, as do many Israeli and American citizens.
