Ban Focuses Blame on Israel for Recent Clashes with Arabs
By Cynthia Blank 10/6/2015
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon urged Israel on Tuesday to conduct a full-scale investigation into recent clashes in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria.
He also criticized the demolitions carried out by Israeli security forces on Tuesday of two homes belonging to Palestinian Arab terrorists.
Ban said a "prompt and transparent" probe of the recent clashes between IDF forces and Arab rioters in Bethlehem on Monday in which a 13-year-old was killed would serve to determine "whether the use of force was proportional."
Apparently unbeknownst to Ban, the IDF already conducted an investigation into Abdel Rahman Abdullah's death, admitting a soldier mistakenly shot the child while aiming at a terrorist throwing rocks and firebombs at security forces. The youth evidently stood right next to the terrorist.
Meanwhile, more Arab rioting erupted on Tuesday, including in Bethlehem following the funeral of the teenage boy.
Ban said that the latest clashes were "yet another worrisome sign of violence potentially spiraling out of control," although he neglected to mention the four Israelis slaughtered in two separate terror attacks in the last five days.

Kerry Blames Terrorist Attacks on 'Settlements'
By Ari Soffer 10/14/2015
US Secretary of State John Kerry is planning a trip to the Middle East to meet both Israeli and Palestinian Authority leaders, in what he is touting as an effort to end the current wave of deadly Arab terrorism sweeping the country.
But if an interview on Tuesday is anything to go by, Kerry's visit will mostly focus on pressuring Israel to make concessions. Speaking to Harvard Professor Graham Allison in Cambridge, Massachusetts, America's top diplomat summed up the past several weeks of escalating violence in the following terms:
"So here’s the deal. What’s happening is that unless we get going, a two-state solution could conceivably be stolen from everybody. And there’s been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years.
"Now you have this violence because there’s a frustration that is growing, and a frustration among Israelis who don’t see any movement. So I look at that and I say if that did explode – and I pray and hope it won’t and I think there are options to prevent that – but we would inevitably be – at some point we’re going to have to be engaged in working through those kinds of difficulties. So better to try to find the ways to deal with it before that happens than later."
Kerry added that the Obama administration would be using its last year or so in government to push for a solution to the conflict - in what could foreshadow yet another push for massive Israeli concessions.

Watch: Obama Admin Can't Blame Palestinians for Terror
By Ari Yashar 10/14/2015
US President Barack Obama's administration refused to hold the Palestinian Arabs accountable for the recent wave of lethal Arab terrorism plaguing Israel, with a spokesman insinuating that both sides are equally guilty of "incitement."
In a press briefing on Tuesday in the wake of two lethal Jerusalem terror attacks that left three murdered, State Department spokesperson Mark Toner was put in the spot by Associated Press reporter Matt Lee.
Lee asked whether the fact that the White House issued a statement, which called on both Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to end the "incitement," meant that Obama is accusing Netanyahu equally of inciting violence.
Toner tried to equivocate, saying that while the White House condemns the terror attacks: "we've seen also attacks on Palestinians...we need to reduce these kinds of incitements."more www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/201869

Candidate Cruz Demands Kerry Resign for Bashing Israel
By Ari Yashar 10/16/2015
In response to a slew of critical comments by US Secretary of State John Kerry and his spokesman against Israel as it defends itself from a wave of Arab terror, Republican presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Friday demanded Kerry's immediate resignation.
Cruz's call comes in response to Kerry blaming the terrorism on "Israeli settlements" in an interview Tuesday, a statement his spokesperson John Kirby later tried to backtrack on.
Kirby himself had to issue a semi-retraction after falsely blaming the terrorism on Israel for changing the "status quo" on the Temple Mount on Wednesday, and likewise delegitimizing Israeli self-defense by claiming there are "credible reports" of Israeli "excessive force."
The State Department spokesperson also accused Israel of "terrorism," saying "individuals on both sides of this divide are - have proven capable of, and in our view, are guilty of acts of terrorism."
"Once again Sec. Kerry and his staff have proven themselves utterly unfit for the positions they hold,” Cruz told the Washington Free Beacon on Friday.
"Mr. Kirby should immediately retract his offensive assertion that Israel is ‘guilty of acts of terror’ or resign, and Secretary Kerry should immediately disavow these remarks or resign.”
The senator commented that "the Obama Administration is the most hostile we have seen towards the nation of Israel in our nation’s history. In the last few days, this obsessive antagonism has been on full display.”

Jewish Lives Matter
Joseph Farah
Israel is, once again, besieged by coordinated acts of terrorist violence encouraged by leaders of Hamas and the U.S.-funded Palestinian Authority.
So what’s the response of Barack Obama’s administration?
Blame the Jews for the unprovoked attacks on themselves.
The most outrageous of the comments came from Secretary of State John Kerry, who linked the building of homes in Israel for the spate of stabbings and attacks on Israel civilians and soldiers throughout the country since the beginning of this month.
“So here’s the deal,” Kerry said. “What’s happening is that unless we get going, a two-state solution could conceivably be stolen from everybody. And there’s been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years. Now you have this violence because there’s a frustration that is growing, and a frustration among Israelis who don’t see any movement.”
What prompted the violent attacks? The building of what Kerry misleadingly characterizes as “settlements.” What are “settlements” as defined by this administration? The building of homes for Jews in Jerusalem suburbs and throughout the country – an absolute necessity because there’s a housing shortage for Israelis.
So, the solution to stopping violent attacks on Jews in Israel, according to Kerry, is simply not to build homes.
But Kerry is hardly the only Obama administration official blaming the victims.

UNESCO condemns Israeli ‘aggression’ on Temple Mount
By Raoul Wootliff and Raphael Ahren October 21, 2015
The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization passed a resolution Wednesday condemning ongoing Israeli archaeological excavations near the Temple Mount and elsewhere in Jerusalem’s Old City. The resolution proposal had originally sought to name the Western Wall a Muslim religious site, but Arab states struck that demand from the draft earlier in the day.
It also condemned the “aggression and illegal measures taken against the freedom of worship and access of Muslims to Al-Aqsa Mosque and Israel’s attempts to break the status quo since 1967.”
Twenty-six UNESCO representatives voted in favor of the resolution, six voted against, and twenty-five abstained. The United States, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Estonia opposed the resolution.
The resolution also recognized Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem and the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron as Muslim sites.
The vote came hours after the Arab states withdrew their demand that UNESCO declare the Western Wall an “integral part” of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

Watch: Lapid takes British media to task for 'justifying' terror
By Ari Soffer 10/22/2015
The leader of Israel's Yesh Atid party, Yair Lapid, scolded the BBC and other UK media outlets for what he described as their attempts to "justify" Arab stabbing and other terrorist attacks against Israeli Jews.
Appearing on BBC's HARDtalk Wednesday, Lapid said that the current wave of Palestinian terrorism felt "more religious" than previous ones.
"This is about Islam and Jews, this is not a national dispute or conflict," Lapid said.
"These are Islamic assassins who want to kill Jews because they are Jews," he added to presenter Stephen Sackur.

'Obama feeding nest of anti-Semitism'
By Cynthia Blank 11/5/2015
Dr. Ran Baratz's criticism is apparently not limited to President Reuven Rivlin, a review of the Mida editor's Facebook page by Channel 2 revealed Thursday.
Appointed Wednesday as Head of Public Diplomacy and Media at the Prime Minister's Office, Baratz quickly came under fire for controversial comments mocking Rivlin for "marginality" and lacking importance.
But, Baratz appears to have also focused his "satire" on a number of elected officials across the political spectrum - at home and abroad.
"[US] President Obama is not ignorant," Baratz wrote in August. "He must know he's feeding a years-long nest of anti-Semitism, which blames American Jews for dragging the United States into wars."
In another post, Baratz derided US Secretary of State for linking the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to Islamic State, asserting that "to Kerry's credit, no other Miss America could have said it better."

Netanyahu-Appointed Director of Media Under Fire for Anti-Obama, Anti-Kerry Remarks
By JNS November 8, 2015
...Baratz, who was appointed Wednesday, wrote in the wake of Obama’s reaction to Netanyahu’s March speech to the U.S. Congress that “this is what modern anti-Semitism looks like in Western liberal countries. And of course, it comes with a lot of tolerance and understanding toward Islamic anti-Semitism. So much tolerance and understanding, until they are even willing to give them nukes.”
n October of 2014, he also wrote about a speech in which Kerry correlated Israel with the Islamic State that “after his term as secretary of state he is certain to have a flourishing career in one of the stand-up comedy clubs in Kansas City, Mosul, or the Holot detention facility.” He reportedly said Kerry had “the mental age of a 12-year-old.” In a more recent comment, Baratz mocked Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.
According to a State Department spokesman, the U.S. government has found the comments both “troubling and offensive,” and Netanyahu himself issued a statement that “those posts are totally unacceptable and in no way reflect my positions or the policies of the Government of Israel.”
In an editorial by the current English-language editor at Mida, Avi Woolf, on Thursday for the Times of Israel, Woolf defended Baratz, writing that although Baratz did issue harsh criticisms, “everyone, in the U.S. and elsewhere, does so—both in an official capacity and otherwise. Senior U.S. officials calling Bibi ‘chickensh*t,’ the old habit of Israeli political rivals calling each other Nazi or fascist or murderer, and many, many others—these are the familiar barbs of politics.”

Biden: No excuse for 'derogatory' comments from Israeli official
By Cynthia Blank 11/8/2015
Without referencing him by name, US Vice President Joe Biden took a swipe Saturday night at Israel's new Head of Public Diplomacy, Dr. Ran Baratz, over his past comments against President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry.
Biden was quick to stress America's “rock-solid” commitment to Israeli security at the start of his 45-minute address before the Union for Reform Judaism's biennial in Orlando, Florida.
Then, in sharp condemnation of Baratz, Biden noted that "although we won’t always agree, and this is the one thing I do want to say - We should always be respectful of one another."
“There is no excuse, there should be no tolerance for any member or employee of the Israeli administration referring to the president of United States in derogatory terms. Period, period, period, period!"

Ex-Mid East Adviser: Obama to blame Bibi for terror wave
By Arutz Sheva Staff 11/9/2015
Netanyahu guilty?
Obama's former adviser said that in terms of the terror wave that has already claimed the lives of 12 Israelis since October 1, the president would likely try to find Netanyahu guilty for not having made even more concessions as part of a peace process with the Palestinian Authority (PA) - after the latter torpedoed talks in April 2014 by signing a unity deal with Hamas.
"No doubt, even while expressing sympathy for what Israel is now facing, President Obama will find it hard to resist telling Netanyahu in private that he had warned him about the consequences of standing pat and expecting the Palestinians to remain quiescent."
"Still, this part of the private discussion could be useful if the president comes out of the meeting emphasizing that lies about Israel changing the status quo on the Haram al Sharif (the Temple Mount) must cease - nothing has done more to incite those carrying out the attacks," he wrote, without noting that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has himself led the incitement regarding the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.
Ross noted that Netanyahu and his coalition government recently conceded to having cameras installed on the Mount to help the Jordanian Waqf ban Jewish prayer at the site, despite Israeli law stipulating freedom of worship.
"Assuming this helps to calm the situation and stem attacks more generally, the president could ask the prime minister to take additional steps on the ground that might demonstrate his commitment to a two state outcome, particularly because we are now seeing what it might mean to have one state," he said, in comments following reports that Obama will demand more "gestures" from Netanyahu.

How Obama and Kerry Caused the Stabbing Terror Spree in Israel
Before the Muslim terror stabbing spree, Netanyahu had made repeated efforts to meet with the leader of the PLO. And for once, Abbas, the PLO leader, had not been averse to a meeting.
Instead it was Secretary of State John Kerry who told Abbas not to meet with Netanyahu.
Abbas went to the UN and disavowed the Oslo Accords. The first Muslim stabbings of Jews, with the encouragement of the PLO, began a few days later.
It is unlikely that Kerry had directly told Abbas to escalate the violence, but he had sent him the same effective message by coordinating with the PLO boss at the expense of Netanyahu. The top terrorist came away with the understanding that the administration favored him and was hostile to Netanyahu.
And he was right.
So Abbas decided to see what another outburst of violence would net him.
It wasn’t the first time that Obama and Kerry had unleashed Abbas’ worst impulses.
Obama’s splashy trip to Israel didn’t lead to peace, but it did make the PLO’s Palestinian Authority more dictatorial and corrupt. The closest thing to an accomplishment that the Bush administration’s own failed efforts had to show for them was the appointment of Salam Fayyad as Prime Minister of the PA.

Wake Up World: Video Shows Palestinian Woman Stabbing Israeli Guard
Truth Revolt 11.9.2015
One of the most tiresome arguments made by anti-Israel critics is how, supposedly, the “vast majority” of Palestinians are peaceful. Moral relativists make it seem as though a miniscule number of bearded men strapped with C4 or brandishing knives are the only ones carrying out terrorist attacks, which are of course just a response to Israeli "occupation."
Apologists refuse to acknowledge that, sadly, Palestinian women and children are far from immune to the most malignant forms of anti-Semitism having been weaned on it from the cradle, and often harbor equally-violent inclinations toward Jews. It defies logic how some attempt to refute this reality, considering that in no other "culture" is a mother perfectly content with, and often encouraging of, her own children becoming "martyred."

How Original: Sweden Blames Paris Attacks on Israel
By JNS November 17, 2015
Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström linked Palestinian grievances with Israel to the Islamist terror attacks that killed 129 people in Paris.
“Obviously, we have reason to be worried, not just in Sweden but across the world—because there are so many that are being radicalized. Here, once again, we are brought back to situations like the one in the Middle East, where not least, the Palestinians see that there is not a future. We must either accept a desperate situation or resort to violence,” Wallström said in a television interview.
In response to Wallström’s comments, Israel summoned Sweden’s ambassador to the Jewish state for an urgent meeting with Israeli Foreign Ministry Director-General Dore Gold, calling the Swedish minister’s remarks “brazen,” “shocking,” and “hostile.”

Iran's Basij Commander: Israel, not ISIS behind Paris attacks
By Ari Yashar 11/18/2015
Muslim terrorists belonging to Islamic State (ISIS) murdered at least 129 people in Paris on Saturday - but according to a top Iranian general, Israel is to blame.
Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi, head of Iran's Basij paramilitary force, made the baffling assertion on Wednesday, as cited by the semi official Fars News Agency.
"If we write the word Israel instead of ISIS, the behind the scene of the recent events in France will come into light," he claimed as quoted by the Iranian paper.
"ISIS is the infantry unit of the US and the usurper Zionist regime since they don’t have fighters today anymore and have lost power to fight, and they have created ISIS by making investment on the fools," he said. "Such events should happen in Europe in order for the US and its hirelings to be able to justify their presence in the region and escape from criticisms."
Not only did the general in the Shi'ite regime blame Israel and the US for being behind the jihadist group, he also blamed Iran's regional rival Saudi Arabia. According to him, the Sunni state is "the dealer of the recent incidents," it "founded" ISIS, and "as long as the US is unable to fill the banking accounts of its arms companies with the Saudis' money, these wars and cruel massacres will continue."
