This is going tick off upcoming Harris admisniation The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Aysenur Ezgi Eygi,a Turkish-American activist killed in the West Bank last week, was likely shot "indirectly and unintentionally" by Israeli gunfire. According to the military, the shot was not aimed at Eygi but at the main instigator of a protest she was participating in. The group was protesting an illegal Israeli settler outpost near the town of Beita. In a statement, the IDF said that during the disturbance "dozens of Palestinian suspects burned tires and hurled rocks toward security forces." The International Solidarity Movement, to which Eygi belonged, said the protest was peaceful and denied that its activists threw stones. www.dw.com/en/middle-east-updates-israeli-strike-kills-dozens-medics/live-70174206

Of course Blinken blaming IDF Blinken slams Israel after IDF says its forces likely shot slain American activist US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has called for “fundamental changes” to the way Israeli forces operate in the occupied West Bank after the killing of American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi at a protest last week. Blinken’s sharply worded rebuke came after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday that it was “highly likely” that Eygi was “hit indirectly and unintentionally by IDF fire.” In its initial inquiry into the incident, the IDF said that the shot was not aimed at the activist, but at “the key instigator” of a “violent riot” at the Beita Junction where it said Palestinians burned tires and hurled rocks at Israeli security forces. It didn’t name the alleged instigator. The International Solidarity Movement (ISM), with whom Eygi had been volunteering, said that its protest on September 6 was peaceful. edition.cnn.com/2024/09/10/middleeast/israel-military-american-activist-west-bank-intl/index.html
