Iranian Official: We “Reject the Existence of Any Israeli on This Earth”
by TheTower.org Staff | 08.21.15
Hussein Sheikholeslam, a senior adviser to Iran’s Speaker of Parliament, told the Hamas-affiliated newspaper al-Resalah that Tehran “reject the existence of any Israeli on this earth,” a position he says Iran relayed to the P5+1 powers during the nuclear negotiations, The Times of Israel reported Wednesday. According to Sheikholeslam, Iran “will do everything to renew” its support for Hamas, which Tehran lessened in retaliation to the Sunni group’s opposition to the regime of Bashar al-Assad after the outbreak of the Syrian civil war.
Sheikholeslam’s comments are the latest in a series of threats issued against Israel by Iran since the Islamic Republic signed a nuclear agreement with the P5+1 powers last month.
A video posted on a website linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), titled “Preparation of the complete destruction of Israel by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Islamic Revolution in Iran,” called for Israel’s “erasure from the annals of history,” according to another report in The Times of Israel on Wednesday. The clip depicts an invasion of Jerusalem by an Islamic army that includes Hamas and Hezbollah among its ranks.
Earlier this week, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on his English-language Twitter account that Iran will “take all possible means to support anyone who fights Israel, is against the Zionist regime and supports resistance.”

Isael should be annihilated,’ senior Iran aide says
Times of Israel staff August 25, 2015
A senior Iranian official on Tuesday said Israel “should be annihilated,” and that the thawing relations with the West would not translate into a shift in Tehran’s position concerning the Jewish state.
Hussein Sheikholeslam, a foreign affairs adviser to parliament speaker Ali Larijani, told Iranian media that contrary to remarks by British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, “Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan.”
Hammond was in Iran on Monday for the reopening of the UK embassy in Tehran, and said that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had indicated a “more nuanced approach” to Israel’s existence. Hammond said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s “revolutionary sloganizing” should be distinguished from “what Iran actually does in the conduct of its foreign policy.”
“We’ve got to, as we do with quite a number of countries, distinguish the internal political consumption rhetoric from the reality of the way they conduct their foreign policy,” the Guardian quoted Hammond saying.

Iranian general vows to ‘cut off hands and fingers’ of enemies
By Time Of Israel staff September 4, 2015
A senior commander of Iran’s Iranian Revolutionary Guards on Thursday vowed to “cut off [our] enemies’ hands and fingers” should the Islamic Republic come under a military strike.
“We monitor their acts day and night and will take every opportunity to set fire to all their economic and political interests if they do a wrong deed,” said Brigadier General Hossein Salami, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.
In an apparent reference to Israel and the US, Salami said that if Iran was attacked, it would “cut off [our] enemies’ hands and fingers will then send its dust to the air.”
Escalating Iran’s rhetoric against Israel, another senior commander of the IRG said on Wednesday that the regime would boost its military capabilities relentlessly until Israel was destroyed.
“The Islamic Revolution will continue enhancing its preparedness until it overthrows Israel and liberates Palestine,” the IRG’s Tehran province commander, Brigadier General Mohsen Kazzemeini, said in an address in Tehran, the semi-state Fars news agency reported.
He also vowed that Iran would maintain its aid to those who fight Israel. “We will continue defending not just our own country, but also all the oppressed people of the world, specially those countries that are standing on the forefront of confrontation with the Zionists,” Kazzemeini claimed.

Obama and World Mum as Iran Says Israel Will Cease to Exist
By Hillel Fendel 9/18/2015
Over a week has gone by since Iranian leaders' vague threats to destroy Israel have become more specific, yet neither U.S. President Barack Obama nor any other major world leader has condemned it.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, tweeted last week that, "Allah willing, Israel will cease to exist within the next 25 years." He added that Iran and/or other jihadist elements would not sit idly by during this period: "Until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists."
In the many press briefings and statements given and issued by State Department and White House spokesmen since then, no mention was made of the threat. The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) announced that it is "appalled" that Obama and world leaders "have failed to condemn" the threat – and said it regards this silence as "a diplomatic Kristallnacht."
"We seem to be replaying Kristallnacht, when the world ignored the Germans physically attacking the Jews of Germany in November 1938," the ZOA announced. "Today, we see a diplomatic Kristallnacht as the world ignores the threats of violence and massacre of millions of Jews in the state of Israel."
Just two days later, in a bizarre follow-up, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani posted a message wishing Jews well for Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year, which was celebrated this week.
