Well that infamous election in Netherland starting Dutch voters headed to the polls on the first day of the European elections. Over the next four days, more than 350 million voters in 27 EU countries will go to the polls to choose who represents them in the European Parliament over the next five years. The voting officially kicked off this morning at 07.30 CET in the Netherlands, with turnout reaching 29% by 17.45 CET. At least three Dutch political parties - the Christian Democratic Alliance (CDA), the Party for Freedom (PVV) and the Forum for Democracy (FvD) - have claimed their websites were targeted by cyber-attacks on the day of the vote. It comes amid fears the democratic exercise is vulnerable to malign interference from foreign actors.
