Not cool man that BAD PR Several Palestinians killed by Israel in West Bank's Tulkarm At least five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on the town of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. It said the two were shot dead by Israeli forces on Sunday. The Israeli army, meanwhile, said one of its airstrikes on Tulkarm had killed several armed Palestinians. The military said the attackers had shot at soldiers and thrown explosive devices. Four suspects were arrested and several weapons and explosive devices were confiscated during the operation. In recent weeks, the Israeli military has stepped up operations against Palestinian militant groups in the West Bank, who it says are supporting Hamas in Gaza. www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-who-says-al-shifa-hospital-a-bloodbath/live-67746848

Of course Hezollah claim this Israel, Hezbollah claim attacks on Lebanon border area Israel's military has said it has struck weapons launch sites and facilities belonging to the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out airstrikes, along with artillery and tank fire, against Hezbollah launch sites, in response to cross-border fire by what it called a "terrorist cell." Hezbollah, which like the Palestinian militant group Hamas is backed by Iran, said it had mounted several attacks against Israeli army targets on the border. The militants said they targeted Israeli soldiers on the edges of Hanita, a kibbutz in northern Israel near the Lebanese border, which caused casualties. Hezbollah also claimed a second attack on an outpost manned by Israeli soldiers in the border site of Birkar Rishah, again claiming casualties. You know why Biden call that he getting call out be leftist in his own party LOL! Israel-Hamas war: US defense chief visits amid truce calls US defense chief calls for increased Gaza aid, pledges continued arms for Israel US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has called for increased humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip during a visit to Israel. "We must get more humanitarian assistance in to the nearly 2 million displaced people in Gaza and we must distribute that aid better," he said, according to a statement from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Austin said that this was Israel's operation and that he would not dictate a timeline or terms for the conflict, adding Washington believed that Hamas must not be allowed to project terror from Gaza into Israel. He also said that the US would be providing arms to Israel. "We'll continue to provide Israel with the equipment that you need to defend your country... including critical munitions, tactical vehicles and air defense systems," he said. www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-live-blog-december-18/live-67751095

Yeah GOOD IDEA Oil giant BP diverts Red Sea shipping UK energy giant BP says it is joining other companies in suspending transit through the Red Sea, with Yemen's Houthi rebels attacking passing ships in what they claim is a show of solidarity with Hamas. The Houthis have said they would target vessels near the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait to pressure Israel over its war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, threatening to stop Israel-bound ships of any nationality passing. The attacks have led some companies to avoid the Red Sea strait and send vessels around Africa, a longer and more expensive route. www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-live-blog-december-18/live-67751095

The British military's United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency issued a warning of a potential explosion that hit near a vessel that was passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait between Yemen and the Horn of Africa. Maritime security firm Ambrey quoted the captain of the ship as saying that "the 'explosion' [occurred] two nautical miles off one of the vessel's quarters while it was transiting." The two organizations said they had received information of the possible explosion occurring 30 nautical miles (55.56 nautical kilometers) south of Yemen's port of Mokha. Yemen's Houthi rebels have launched several missile attacks on vessels passing through the strait, saying they seek to put pressure on Israel to end its offensive in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip. Four major shipping firms have said they are rerouting vessels away from the Red Se www.dw.com/en/israel-hamas-war-live-blog-december-18/live-67751095
