UN Official Says Israel Has No Right to Self-Defense
A U.N. official argued Saturday
that Israel does not have a right to self-defense
against Hamas under international law.
Francesca Albanese, who serves as the Office of the United Nations
High Commissioner for Human Rights's
special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories,
argued on X Saturday that
"self-defense" has a narrow meaning under Article 51
of the U.N. charter.
That definition, she said, does not give the Jewish state
the right to self-defense against Hamas
because the threat stems from an armed group within
"occupied territory" and not "another state."
Thus, "under Int'l Law Israel's actions in Gaza
cannot qualify as self-defense," Albanese said.
The day after Hamas's Oct. 7 attack
that killed more than 1,400 Israelis,
mostly civilians,
Albanese said she was "horrified by the narrative"
that focused outrage on Hamas for the attack.
She also condemned Israel's "militarized settler colonial occupation"
and violence against
"defenseless Palestinians."

I got a kick out of those cats too Oliver!  These are my favorites though:  I agree too about only real Christians realizing that things are speeding up. I just started studying Ezekiel today. My most recent studies have been Isaiah, Amos, Obadiah, Jeremiah, and last Lamentations. One of the things that seemed to be stressed a lot was what happens to a country when the people turn away from God, and how should the remnant of the truly saved deal with what's happening. Since our country as well as most of the rest of the world has in fact turned away from God, it's pretty easy to see what happens to those countries.
Although, I have to say it's no where near as bad as it's going to get. Right now the people are still experiencing the splash effect of blessings. What I mean is that everyone who is truly saved is blessed by God and of course God dwells within them. We are blessed and we are a blessing to others, including the unsaved. We are a blessing to the unsaved purposely by good deeds and kind words, and especially by sharing the gospel with the unsaved. We are also a blessing in that the unsaved experience some of the blessings God grants to us, sometimes in full, and other times they just experience a portion of them...it's like we were in a pool of water and they get splashed with some of the blessings God gives us. Know what I mean? Sadly for them, a day will soon come when our Lord will come and get us and they will no longer experience any blessing from us. Their main blessing will be the gift of life from God which will still give them a chance at the gift of salvation.
The more evil I see and hear, the more I see just how patient, generous, and loving and merciful our God is. It makes me think of when God proclaimed His Name and character to Moses: “Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.”” (Exodus 34:5–7) Of course we know that God doesn't punish children for the sins of their parents. That's just showing that when parents willfully sin, it affects their children by influencing them to do the same sins for up to 4 generations. I can certainly testify to the truth of that as I've seen it in my own family. Thankfully God has saved some of my children already and I pray He will save the rest too. After all, He saved me and I for sure didn't deserve it!

I like pumpkin pie, but I don't bake pumpkin pie, I have pumpkin bread in the oven right now, I put cranberries in the the bread.
I could of gotten a Thanksgiving meal from the local school but decided not to as I don't like turkey. That is good that you are all set for you holiday meals.
Well the dogs have chased away the last two cats that were living here always trying to attack them but what surprised me is that they bring cats from home here with them now, they lay down on the ground and those cats snuggle up next to them. This morning I was left "the gift" from one of those cats, the one with a pink nose, at least those cats look and act like house cats, not wild and crazy acting.
We won't get rain here until the 15th thru the 18th. I saw news reporting the snow and ice in China and a volcano problems starting in Iceland, months ago Michael told us about how dangerous the volcano is in Iceland, also Blue Lagoon in PA just saw a picture of smoke coming from the ground, didn't look at the news of these only saw pictures, and also high wind damage in Turkey.
I wanted to invest in cryptocurrency, I tried but my information was rejected, so I will probably forget about that.
