Well it official KCAL 9 news is officially on the air which it is CBS news station now I remember when they only show Million dollar movie when KHJ 9 cool thing about it NO more 700 club and Jim Bakker in the morning it was independant station before CBS news took over
I been watching rain storm 710 Freeway North Bound totally flooded

Don't be suprise folks if you get CBS news you probably get news in the morning I know NY and LA first to launch and other station in other market don't be suprise cool thing about LA Car chases to watch

It would be a first to watch a stolen truck hydroplaning down the Interstate. lol
Nice weather here, I am going outdoors, got to get the dogs out of the yard, last time a delivery guy came by and the dogs went for him, we had two boxes, the small one got delivered and the large one he was leaving with it on the truck because of the dogs, DH saw that and shouted out the door, he can shout loud, I can barely talk normal, the guy then stopped and dropped off the box, in times like that I am glad that I have dolly to move a box. lol

You expect homeless person be swept up in LA River during these storm or dog owner get caught up in drain try rescue their furbaby that how LA rolls LOL!

I know that no delivery person should have to deal with a dog and yes the guy once told us he was bitten once by a dog and I have heard other delivery people say they were also bitten by a dog. I am glad that the dogs visit here, they are fun, funny, loving and have room to run around. They are not like a poodle that is walked by it's owner on Riverdale DR. lol, they again chased a wild lynx cat up a tree with the cat's companion on the ground that walked away, the cat will stay up in the tree until the dogs walk away, they are at risk being able to run free, their owner is a wealthy woman who should put a cheap fence up on her property, but she doesn't.
The dogs are friendly with me but overall I do not think they are friendly, but I don't think they go out of their way to be aggressive.

I want to get back to my indoor gardening and also I miss listening to the audio books. I have been busy helping dh with some things he is interested in, like we put a new catalytic converter and muffler on the truck and more. I had small plants growing but one day we had mice, fixed the hole but one night they had eaten my plants. I have started following a new type of diet, well a lifestyle change in the food I eat, no sugar no wheat, and only a six hour window of which to eat. So for noodles I bought Asian type noodles, shirataki noodles, I like them.

Guess what stop raining in SO CAL nice and cool but sunny also windy I think the storm is gone we expect anotherrrrrrrr one on Monday afternoon I just hope it hit when I get back from work LOL!

Well we have temporary power outrage here in my area in SO CAL apparenlty around 2pm the light went off it rain hard during the time I think power outrage last about 15 minutes so everything was offline so I have reset the stove clock and other stuff around the house

Weird weather here too Kelly. It rained all day yesterday and the day before, and now it's snowing again! Everyone in our area is saying that they've never seen a winter like the one we've been having this year. Stay safe kelly! Sounds like a good day to curl up on the couch and read a book! Wish I could, but we have to take Chris to another doctor appointment today. (by the way, the picture above is one I took out our window  )

Going back to weather for a moment check this out we may get more rain on Tuesday and Wednesday and next week then following Saturday and Sunday another big storm coming in we not out of wood here in CALI YET

Good morning,
yes lots of news about that house speaker, I have only heard from a distance, don't know what is going on yet, but talk will continue and I will catch up on that news. lol
Looks like wave after wave of rain is coming in from the Pacific ocean, sometimes it misses us sometimes we get the rain.
A few days ago we had a power outage around 2am and power was out for 4 or 5 hours, the reason why I noticed was because I had my crockpot cooking on slow overnight and I knew it stopped cooking so continued that in the morning, I have been making homemade soup, as soup is expensive to buy and if I was to buy a cheap soup I would rather have nothing at all.

It's a beautiful day today, especially after yesterday's blizzard. We had to drive through it to take Chris to his doctor appointment. We left here at 12:30 and got him to his appointment by 2:05. They called him in 4 minutes later and kept him for an hour an a half! Then we took him home and took ourselves home. We made it back to our house at 4:45pm! We're off again today to grab him and take him grocery shopping with us. After we get home, the kids are coming over. So I've got to run and get dressed and get going!
Oh, we didn't have a power outage this time, instead our phone isn't working! It hasn't been working for the last 3 days!

Good morning from partly cloudy SO CAL morning so far so good no rain YET we may expect more probably Monday afternoon that be so astompic river aka pineapple express that everybody been yada yada on all Weather channel sites
This one going be cooler coming from Alaska going into lower part of jet stream the lower part of mountains going get snow me luckly going be in overnight cycles on Monday night brunt of going be hassle on Tuesday morning commute

Good morning Cindy and Kelly, have a blessed day today. Found some books I had in a cabinet that I have not looked at in years, good authors Gurnall, Watson and Bunyan, so yay, I like good books, going to read Isaiah and read Barbra's posts. I just heard from dh who said he just heard from a pastor online that Isaiah 43 talks about the gathering away in the last days. When I talk I use those words instead of the word rapture. Yeah, 1am in the morning and I am reading the Bunyan book.

Like the people in the bars and clubs are not scanning the horizon for any advantage they could take for their life, most people do that. One thing I think makes his wife stand out is that she made a successful career on her own and we know that is not easy for a woman to do.

Hello, finally checking in after months AWOL. (Also I forgot my password but finally tried a few different ones and FOURTH time was the charm!) Happy 2023 to you all! Not a whole lot is different in my life since last time I posted... but my "baby" Daniel did graduate from college and started working in Greenville as a Civil Engineer. He got engaged to Rachel (they've been dating 3 years) and they're getting married in March! He has to have a root canal though - just found that out yesterday - so that's not good. Timothy continues working as a plumber/HVAC tech and he stays busy all the time. He's still dating a very sweet girl, Hannah, but she is not a believer (yet!) and that is a constant prayer concern. John continues working at the same company and still battles Crohn's issues. 2022 was not a good year with that.  He's lost a lot of weight and often doesn't feel well. I think the medicine he's taking isn't effective, but the doctor has adjusted doses and we hope and pray that will help. I'm still working for the optometrist (coming up on 5 years in February!) and in fact need to get going because today's a work day. I'm in the church choir and love it! My dear mother is 82 years old TODAY!!  Anyway, that's a little update on us and I think of you all often (even if I'm not posting) and will try and do better.  |

It's so good to see you Leigh! I'm glad to hear all your good news. I'm so sorry John has been so sick with that nasty disease this past year.
