You know, the older a person gets the safer it is to only put 1 or 2 candles on a Birthday cake.  Most people say that time goes by quickly and a few people say that time passes by slowly.

Yep! We have your snow Cindy...it is really snowing and for Christ-mas....even tho it started in earnest around 10 tonight....
first it was whimpy tiny wee flakes....like frozen rain drops
but now.....it is real hearty snow flakes.
First, I kept seeing Devon out...we would go outside exactly at the same time
then Hossanah was out
and just about 10 minutes ago Brian came to have a look see also.
It is super exciting for us, because Seaside seldom gets snow, and I only remember it being once even close to this.
Of course growing up in New England, I know real snow....but its been a long time
Oh, and I love to eat snow.....kind of free snow cones.
Can you tell I am excited.....

lived in Hawaii for close to 15 years...
and tho I loved the islands too
( he is more a tropical guy at heart)
I can do both...
but too hot is a bit much for me....
I still love a day or two of the beauty of snow.
It reminds me of the verse:

So the snow started out like, I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today then it changed into being more like a sporty character. Snow is pretty to look at for a few days. I heard that the state of ND was going to get the coldest temperatures with one area -50, the coldest I have been in was in NE at around -32 at night and Ron and I had to go outdoors to fix a frozen door lock and he had to take off his gloves to fix it but could not leave his gloves off for long as his hands got to cold. Maybe we will get a dusting of snow here, and I will be able to see snow on the mountains.
I was have been listening to videos of both Charles Spurgeon and also JC Ryle, I prefer to listen to JC Ryle. There is a good video about Charles Spurgeon's life, I see today one of his videos, true prayer, true power, reminds me of the video I watched last night about George Mullers life, about the years 1830-1897 his prayer and faith and how he cared for thousands, orphans... as he so encouraged people as an example to follow.

Well I got my self a new tv I got Amazon fire tv I just hooked up over the weekend my brother knew that my tv is my bed room was going out on me so he got me new tv first thing first I did i download Al Jazeeza English news and Weather bug also Peacock TV and IMB and Pluto tv which I could get old shows
I been pretty busy over the weekend LOL!
Yeah that my friggin priorties I found Sky news and DW news over the weekend on Amazon Fire tv

Hello everyone! That's great you got some snow for Christmas Barbara! We didn't, but we had a rainstorm that ended in frozen rain, which left the grass looking a little bit white LOL. Oh well, it's not the first time we didn't have snow for Christmas, but it doesn't happen often. I'm wondering now if this is how the whole winter is going to be - with little snow, or if it's just waiting to dump a ton of it on us. That's happened before too!
I love all those preachers Marlene! They like the apostle Paul, lived their faith so well that they could say with Paul, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1) I sure wish I could say that, but I'm sad to say that I still fail to imitate Jesus too often. Pastor MacArthur says those are some of his favorites too. I found out that MacArthur even wrote the forward in one of the books about Holiness by J C Ryle.
We had a wonderful Christmas eve spent with our neighbors who are also Christians. I was so excited and couldn't wait for them to open their gift; it was MacArthur's commentary on the Bible. I'm not sure who was more excited about it, them or me LOL
The kids are back from Maine now, so we'll have our Christmas with them this coming Saturday, God willing.

I had never heard of amazon fire tv before, so I looked it up, "With tens of thousands of channels, apps and alexa skills, amazon fire TV offers all your favorite subscriptions and streaming services." I wonder what that is like, apps and alexa skills. With all this modern stuff nowadays it is difficult for me to keep up with understanding it. I keep so busy anyway that I don't often find time to watch many videos and never tv, haven't heard that word tv in awhile.

Get this my brother claim in less six month going be OLD tech wise I still can get everything I already downloaded Peacock tv the NBC streaming service I getting free stuff I saw old episode of Columbo Rockford files and Little House on the prairie
While Pluto TV I downladed Hawaii Five O epsidoe I finish up 1 season get on second season when I get a chance first thing first I downloaded Al Jazeeza english news I did search mode on their find tv news
See how mess up my priorties are

 Sorry I wasn't here yesterday. Angel, our 18 and a half year old cat got really sick and I had to take care of her and get her to the vet. then when I got back home I still had to take care of her. She's doing a LOT better now, thanks to the Lord and the antibiotics though!
The kids got us Roku for my birthday years ago and we love it. Then a couple of years ago they got us the Amazon fire TV which is also pretty good. Now we have both on our TV and can switch between them any time. It's pretty neat. I mainly like them because it means I don't have to watch any nasty commercials that advertise sin, or any of today's tv or movies which glorify and celebrate sin, as though it's perfectly normal and good. I just can't stand that any more. It got so bad that I hated even seeing the titles of the shows that were on TV each night because even the titles were about sin. With Roku or the fire stick, I can watch the old shows that aren't anywhere near as bad. I enjoyed that for a couple of years, and then the Lord showed me how some of them were also all about sin, although it was hidden for the most part. Because of that, I watch even less TV than I did before.
I've always preferred to read, and have never watched much TV anyway, but Bruce watches it all the time. At least with books I can choose to read Christian ones and don't have to deal with having sin thrown in my face all the time. I honestly can't believe how awful the world has gotten in just a few years! |

See the problem was before Dallas was film on SD Camera which mean picture wasn't that great thanks to new techonlogy finallyyyyyy coming to DVD or HBO Max service could be other service too like synidcation reruns or IMB TV

I don't remember the last time I watched TV, I can't even remember when we had or got rid of our last TV?
I am like you Cindy in that I read mostly. I still do look briefly from time to time at maybe a few minutes clip on some news.
And often more about News in Israel and the Middle East...tho I do look at a little news in the states.
But, Like you said Cindy:

That is almost 99.999% of what news is about.
I do however also watch sermons by MacArthur and others.
Like you Anne, I love all those preachers you mentioned.
I have books by all of them, and am still slowly going thru a 800 plus paged book by Calvin on Ephesians.
For once I slept 'fairly' well....
but the problem seems to be...
its one night no sleep,
the next night pretty good sleep
However, the following day I'm still tired...
making up for the night of no sleep arrrgghhh!

My parents remember Betty White on then KCOP 13 here in LA market when she had talk show Betty White show it came on six day a week she was producer talk show hostress this wayyyyyy before Women movement Life with Elizabeth is on one of network in morning hours only certain day of the week I know Date with Angels came on Decades tv network for little a white people know her from Mary Tyler Moore as man craze Susan Nivens and Rose from Golden Girls which both you could see on cable networks

We are getting some rain and wind now, I just looked out the window and closed the curtain, I don't want to look out today, looks like the island of dr moreau out there. I canceled that rail road pick up order, all month they said a pick up in the morning time then after I placed my order they changed the order to night time pick up at the rail road tracks. I am not that brave or adventurous. lol

I dont see any rain in forecast i was so tired last night I decided screw it i think I welcome east coast 2022 with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cochrn but in earlier in the day my mom and i have go to Office depot we go earlier in the week but the rain turn us off we got some Popeye chicken family dinner kick back watch Twilight Zone on Decades tv I went to bed around 1030 last night
Then at Midnight hood decided to blow up some firework that freak out my mom dog luckly he was in my parent bed he whine little a bit he went back to sleep next to my dad I think what happen he freak out not realize dad was next to him sleeping he calm down after dad let him under the qulit

thanks for telling us about Ron Lorrie, as I wasn't aware of it. I haven't been online hardly at all in over a week. I know people probably think I'm online when I'm on my kindle at night, because it goes on line automatically, but I've only used it to read my book and occasionally to post something on facebook so people will know I'm still alive.
We lost our beautiful Angel yesterday. We're really going to miss her, but at least she's not suffering any more.

Cindy, sorry for your loss....they become a big part of your life and 18 years means she was in a good paddock for a long time. We have a ragdoll who was asleep, head on my laptop so I couldnt use it.....
We have apple tv but watch disney and amazon and netflix and ACC ( australian christian tv ).
I saw a doctor blogging on the fact he now considers whats going on globally as demonic, in that how integrated it all is, is beyond human ability...and so evil.

Thanks Lorrie. You're right in that I'm not on line very much anymore. I come and do a bible study, and try to do that every week day, but that's about all I've got in me. I'm very thankful to know about Ron so I can be praying for them too. I know what it's like to have your husband in critical condition.
