The way the board is set up right now, this is the only forum that you guys can post things in. You can reply to anything in the other forums, but not post anything new. (I do plan on adding another forum for you to post in though. It will be one for testimonies, stories or miracles, etc. I'll add it today) I thought that would make it easier for everyone since you wouldn't have to go to other forums to find articles, but the more I think about it, I'm wondering if it might be better to have at least a couple of other forums for you. So if you'd like to have for instance, an End Times Chat Forum and an End Times News forum or something else, please let me know by posting on this thread and participating in the poll ok? You can choose multiple answers on the poll. Any forums I add for you, would be added directly under the Christian Chat forum. I'll fix it how you want it, but I need to know what you want in order to do that.

I think a computer navigation thread would be good. Where we can talk about which programs are or are not working for us.
Where do you get your on line bible quotes. What are the best clean joke sites. Sharing our trouble shooting experiences.

I can't believe so few people have replied. That's why I originally decided to have only the one forum...well, 2 counting the testimonies forum, as that's for everyone too. I guess I'll go ahead and make at least a news forum for you though so that this one isn't flooded by the news. That way those who want to see the news can, and those who aren't interested don't have to.
I'll wait before making any other changes to see if anyone else lets me know what they want. If people aren't going to post, then there's no reason to have the forums....

Some of you have been replying to the pm instead of the thread, so I thought I'd put my last reply here so everyone would know about this.
For bible quotes, I have found and installed something I've wanted for ages and ages. It's called Reftagger and all you have to do is hover your mouse over a scripture reference and it will pop up a small screen showing what that scripture says. For example, Let's try the standard John 3:16 and you can see what happens. Let's do a longer one too so you'll see a longer quote in action as well: Deuteronomy 18:10-12 should work fine.
Sorry it's taking me so long to do things... I'm having to learn my way around the "insides" and they don't give you a whole lot of control over things here. Thank you all very much!

So can I post a link from something I watched about an Israel Passover miracle? It is pretty amazing how God continues to protect Israel and how this one happen is amazing! But I have no idea if I can post it or if I can how.
I know Leonard would know how, so I just mostly want to make sure its okay? And that if so I put it in the right place.
I really like this site. It does take a little getting used to but it has some very nice features!!

 I just added something so you can each have your own personal smileys as well as the ones the board supplies! There is a limit however, of 25 per person. Still, that's pretty good isn't it? I just installed it and added my smiles to my profile and am testing it here and now. And it works perfectly! 
This is what you do to save your own personal smileys: Go to your profile and click the edit button. Then click on the settings tab. Scroll down toward the bottom where I hope you've already checked to have the board save your posts as drafts so you don't lose them anymore  a bit under that one, you'll see a place for your personal smileys. Now the first time I tried to enter mine, it didn't save them, but I think that's just because I'd just installed it. The way it works is that you enter the url's of 5 of the smileys you want to save and click the "save settings" button at the bottom. It will pop up a little note saying saving smileys, you click OK, and it will give you 5 more boxes. You keep doing that until you have saved all 25 smileys that you want to keep on the board.
When you want to use them in a post, you simply click on the smiley button, the same one that has the board's smileys, and you'll see your smileys and the board smileys too! Isn't that cool? I thought it would be nice to have some of our old smileys back, and this was the only way I could do it.
Now, let's say you want to add your own smileys but you've never saved any and you don't have a smiley pad or anything like that. What can you do? Easy! I'll simply give you a link to my photobucket account to my smileys and you can add whichever ones you'd like to. Just copy the "direct" link for each one you want to add. Cindys Smileys How's that?

Hi Cindy.I love this board cause I so missed your original and once again you are working your butt off to fix it for US.I was thinking about a thread about our trials and struggles.I would hate to post something down on chat as it should be a happy place.And we all ,at times(alot) have struggles and trials and what better place to go for advice than our christian family.I am going to check out all the little icons,like you said, but I am slower than y'all cause I have only rudimentary knowledge about my computer.What I learned from you and Cheryl,mainly.Keep up the good work but please take as much time for yourself as you do for us.Love Ruthanne

Cindy, I'm sorry I didn't post here before now, but I didn't actually realize I even had a PM. But, so far things look pretty good, and I love that idea for our own personal smilies. I have a new computer, now and haven't tried reloading the smiley pad, so that other feature will be nice. Can't wait to take some time and play with it a little.
As for the extra forums. Yes, I'd like to see the articles and the chat, separated. And one forum for the end-times is good enough. Not two forums for articles and end times chat. That always confused members as to where to post stuff, so one forum on that subject is enough.
One forum for pain, one for end times, one for chat, one for how-to's, if we start getting a lot to maybe sort them into one forum, one for your bible studies, and a separate one for your commentaries. I like to see the separation there, because sometimes when you post a commentary, I can't tell if you wrote it, or got it from your bible library. I like to know when I'm reading what you, yourself wrote.
And we don't need a forum for the tool shed, and the Mall, because those forums are seldom visited, anyway, and will use up too much bandwidth.
Anyway, I'm just throwing thoughts out there. Haven't taken a full gander at the homepage, lately, so maybe those things, you've already thought of, Cindy. Dunno. But, I thought I'd jot a few ideas down, before I run into the kitchen and get my potatoes out of the pot and make my potato salad. lol
Didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring ya'll, and thank you for utilizing this forum. I love it. OH, and I love the purple scheme. Can you tell? lol

Ok, I'm not going to do a forum for how tos this time as that took up a huge amount of my time and really is something anyone can figure out for themselves if they just try. I've done one thread on it and will do something if I install something that might be confusing, but will just post it in here if I do.
I don't want to have a private pain forum because it really defeats the purpose. Yeah it's nice to have a private place on the one hand but if we ever want other people to understand how we feel and what we go through, we need to stop hiding it from them. Funny thing is that while we have the pain chat thread in here, I seriously doubt if many people who don't live with pain will bother reading it anyway.
I do want the news articles and the prophecy ones kept separate. For now, Daniel's posting them in here for us as I don't expect a lot of chatter. There's only about 25 members after all and one reason I closed our board besides my health was that many people just weren't bothering to post, so there was no need for it. I know some people do want to keep up with these things and I personally want to keep up with them, so for that reason I opened this board. But I'm not going to try and make it a big busy board like before. I really could care less about the news, I'm only interested in what the prophecy leaders are saying about it because I hear the news on TV every night anyway, as I'm sure most others do as well.
As far as advice or counseling goes, I have set up a private forum for anyone who wants to know what God says about their situation. it will be totally private between that person, God and me.
I'll consider a trials forum, but it isn't as easy to set up here as it was on our old board as far as privacy goes, so I'm not sure if it would work or not. Plus, with so few people posting, I'm not really sure it's actually needed. There's no reason things can't be posted right here in this forum, other then things people want hidden from the general public...but again, I need time to figure that out. There might even be a way to do that with individual threads, but I'm not sure.
I see you all want a prayer forum and I will make one for you. However, I won't post in it. For one thing, everyone here should already know I'm praying for them and I don't think that needs to be constantly repeated and for another, I simply don't have the time to do it The Lord always tells me when something is needed so I trust Him to continue to do so.

I know they save our work as drafts but I wish there was a different place where work could be saved if we are working on a post but its too long to do all at once ( it might even take days for various reasons). I guess I don't feel 100 percent secure in the draft thingy cuz it lost something once and I never fully trusted it after that. I guess I should give it another chance??
