Hi everyone SARS is also of a family of viruses called corona viruses, I think the media creates hype for the sake of it. Ebola is a dangerous thing, this isnt ebola..... We have wild fires getting close to our home here in Australia. Its funny, but even the unsaved in our office are saying after our hail storm recently with golf ball sized hail that trashed 1000 cars here, that these fires are "biblical". As they say, there are no athiests in foxholes. God is I think passing judgement over Australia's stubborn wanting same sex marriage . Well...... people cant say they weren't warned. God doesn't change. So now wild fires are *also* threatening Australians capital city, Canberra, which also happens to have the 2nd largest homosexual population in Australia. Can you please pray God might have mercy on our home, but deliver a strong message to those who refuse to repent of their sin that they may humble themselves before God before its too late. Steve, I just got chills, when I read that the fires are getting close to your home. I've already said a prayer for you and your family and for the people of Australia. Please stay safe. You can replace a house. You can't replace you. ((hugs))

@cheryl we must have posted at the same time, so I didn't see your post till now. I'm so glad you posted though as I've really missed hearing from you! I hope you're doing ok hon! I worry about you! Thank you for praying for us. God sees his children praying and being obedient and loves us.... Interesting too when I was trying to get on line to get emergency information as the fire was getting close, our internet died. Aarrgghhhh. So i remembered that you can tether your phone to your computer by a usb cable or bluetooth, so i removed the network cable out of my pc ,plugged a usb cable into my cell phone and into my computer, turned on tethering on my cell phone and i was back on line. Praise God. I was mystified why my onternet died, maybe the devil was trying to "blind" me. The fire was advancing quickly but once people started praying it slowed and changed direction. This wildfire is the same size as a large city. Our eucalypt trees drop 5 tons of bark etc per acre per year and it has the same heat output as brown coal per pound in terms of BTU when it burns, and the govt wouldnt hazard reduction burn for the last 10 years as they pandered to the greenies, so we had a huge amount of fuel build up. With so much fuel, once a wildfire gets going, it just becomes a massive blowtorch at 2000F and cant be stopped. Big firebreaks can help, but farmers now get prosecuted for cutting firebreaks by govt agencies....go figure. Almost seems the govt wants people to be driven off thier land. Anyway please keep praying for us and Australia, pray too that people come to Christ in moments like this, and that God would help those people who lost a lot in our south coast fires, and that the love of Christ would shine through in adversity. Please could you also pray for the 4 new young widows, with young children, those who were left when the brave volunteer firefighter husbands died protecting thier communities. Please pray for the families of the brave US aircrew who died defending our community here from a true monster of a fire. Thier service is deeply deeply appreciated and we are so grateful for the sacrifices they made to help us. Humbly Steve

Well had an interesting doctor appointment and sound up getting trigger injections in my back to see if they would help with the pain. It's the same kind of injection Bruce got that helped him so much. After reading my chart at everything that had been done to me for my back the doctor couldn't believe they'd done all that but had never even tried the very basics first...the trigger injections! I had to admit I was pretty surprised myself. I know they aren't supposed to really work will for another week or two even but the pain isn't as bad this morning as it usually is, so I like it so far! It would be great if such a simple solution would work!
I am going to need to do our taxes one day soon. But, I'll stop by here first and let you know that's what I'm doing.

Cindy I am happy to hear the injections might be working for you! They didn’t for Ed. I did my taxes on Sunday. What kind of injections did he have Cheryl? I've never heard of anyone with chronic back pain getting a trigger injection before. Those are generally reserved for frozen shoulders, knees, etc. For chronic back pain they usually do Epidural steroid injections and/or Radiofrequency lesioning. And those rarely work for very many people. Hi Cindy
Glad to hear the pain management is working..... Thanks Steve! I honestly don't know if it is or not yet, but I am hopeful!

Cindy, I guess I don't know what "trigger" injections are, then. Ed was given injections for a deteriorated disc in his neck and for his hips. They were so painful, for him, that I caught a flooding tear, when he came out of that room, the last time they did it. And they never took, so I didn't let them do it to him, again.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. It's a nice sunny day here but I don't want to go out. I woke up feeling really achy this morning. Living around a lot of people means you can pick up a lot of germs/viruses. I'm taking aspirin and some antibiotic I had. Hugs to all.

I'm ready to scream! I did our taxes online last Thursday but still haven't got them filed because the internet times out every time I try to efile them! This is really getting frustrating! Our internet has been messed up ever since our phone and internet provider was taken over by another company and they started messing with the internet! All I can think of to do is have my daughter do it for me from her computer....
Usually, for a deteriorated disk they do the other kind of injection, like the ones I had years ago. They're sometimes called epidural injections among other things, and rarely help anyone. But, there's one good way to tell which kind it was. When the kind that rarely help, the epidural injections etc.are given, it's one single injection with one needle. For a trigger injection, it's often 10 or more injections - one after another - all in the same area of the body. Kind of like if you were to literally draw a circle around the area of the body where the pain is the worst, (which is actually often done - they did with Bruce) and then they take a bunch of needles and give injections all around the inside of that circle they drew. Like I said, it could be 10 or more all at one time. A numbing agent is always used when they do a trigger injection too, and that's not usually done for the other kind. So after a trigger injection, even if it doesn't work long term, because of the Novocaine or whatever numbing agent they use, everyone feels MUCH better after a trigger injection. I was amazed after mine how much I was able to walk with no pain, it was great! Of course though that only lasts until the numbing agent wears off a few hours later. Then you wait to see if the actual medicine works. I'm still thinking it's working for me....even though I know it's still way to soon to tell for sure.
So if Ed got a whole lot of injections all at once and felt much better immediately afterward for a few hours at least, then he had a trigger injection.
If he had only one injection and didn't feel better right away, then it was an epidural type injection, which is the most common one used.
Therapeutic injections are usually used to treat neck or back pain stemming from a facet joint, spinal nerve, and/or an intervertebral disc. Commonly administered injections for neck and back pain are: Epidural injections—deposit the medication, typically steroids, in the epidural space of the spine. Injections for Neck and Back Pain Relief - Spine-Health
Oh cool, look what I found! Here's a list of some of the most common kinds of injections done, and I've had most of these done years ago; none worked.
Epidural steroid injections. ... Selective nerve-root block. ... Facet joint block. ... Facet neurotomy. ... Sacroiliac joint block. ... Spinal cord stimulation. ... Implanted drug infusion. ... Radiofrequency Lesioning (RFL). ... and of course, Trigger point injections.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. It's a nice sunny day here but I don't want to go out. I woke up feeling really achy this morning. Living around a lot of people means you can pick up a lot of germs/viruses. I'm taking aspirin and some antibiotic I had. Hugs to all.
I'm sorry you're not feeling well hon. I sure hope you're feeling much better now!Man I been sick since yesterday I thinking getting better Oh no! Not you too! Lol I’m actually surprised that anyone remembers it. When I mention it, the youngins say huh? Who? What? My son was named after David Soul who played Joshua. Not by me, but by my X. I’d prefer his namesake to be Joshua from the Bible.

Cindy, I just saw the note about your tax filing timing out on you. If you aren’t able to get help, locally, just save it in a pdf file and email it to me and I will file it for you. I have an extra free e-file left.
