Auslogics, Wise, jv16PowerTools - registry cleaners
** Everyone should be making regular, timely, full image backups of C partition, system partition, D partition (if not making folders/files backups). And, in some cases, making a few SRPs and/or a few Registry Backups can lead to: System Restore Points and/or Registry backups restoring last known good configurations, if the problem or problems not severe.**
I have been using these tools for many years, and I rarely have regretted doing so. If these tools are used carefully, cautiously, surgically, rifle-ling rather than shotgunning, these tools weed out un-needed, no-longer-used, registry entries. These tools do not speed up Windows, they do not performance-enhance Windows.
Do not "candy-store" these tools, if you do, you probably will be reaching for either your Windows Repair Install or full image backups or, if no DVDs and no backups, you can watch Windows slowly sink into the ocean, like Kevin Costner's Waterworld set.
