Obadiah 1: 15-21
The Day of the Lord Is Near
15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head. 16 For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations shall drink continually; they shall drink and swallow, and shall be as though they had never been. 17 But in Mount Zion there shall be those who escape, and it shall be holy, and the house of Jacob shall possess their own possessions. 18 The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau stubble; they shall burn them and consume them, and there shall be no survivor for the house of Esau, for the Lord has spoken.
The Kingdom of the Lord 19 Those of the Negeb shall possess Mount Esau, and those of the Shephelah shall possess the land of the Philistines; they shall possess the land of Ephraim and the land of Samaria, and Benjamin shall possess Gilead. 20 The exiles of this host of the people of Israel shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath, and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad shall possess the cities of the Negeb. 21 Saviors shall go up to Mount Zion to rule Mount Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.
All are guilty.....the pagan nations, Israel ( and everybody who has ever lived really). Since none have repented, all we be judged, and punished....not just the pagan nations but Israel also.
However, the punishment will end and the Jews will return back and restoration will happen ( will include the land of Edom), at the millennium Kingdom, for sure . And Esau will be destroyed, as a nation. During the millennium the Jews will have leaders to help with ruling. Since the last verse says: The kingdom shall be the Lord's I am pretty sure this is during the millennium Kingdom when Jesus say reign. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I will start Joshua tomorrow and God willing, I will feel better and will do more.

It's between not feeling well and just a crazy busy last couple of weeks, which are finally slowing down.
Today is probably the most super short one of all....
But then, it will be a new book....
and I forgot to ask you which one, so I am going to have to choose one
but as soon as you read this, maybe ( after we finish .....Joshua......)
right now, or rather, as soon as you read this, you can choose the one after that :-) okay??? LOL That's fine hon; I don't have any preference about which book we do next. Obadiah 1: 15-21

Verse 15 is an important law for it shows that the law of sowing and reaping isn't just for individuals, it's also for nations. We know that nations will pay for the way the treat Israel, but this goes way beyond that. Everything a nation does, good or bad, will come back on that nation. Not due to some thing like "karma", but simply because the Lord has ordered it so. Then verse 17 has that wonderful word, "but". But, Jesus will cleanse Israel and she will finally be saved! And on that day Jerusalem would finally truly be a light to all nations! As you said, that will happen when the Lord returns at His second coming, and then after judgement begins the Millennial Kingdom. When the Lord sets up Israel in their own land, their land will literally, and for the first time ever, include all the land the Lord originally intended to be theirs. The last verse speaks of the Lord choosing leaders from Israel to help rule over the Millennial Kingdom with Him.
