In the Old testament we see God as both the God of Israel and their King. Remember how angry the Lord was when Israel demanded that he allow them to have a human king like other countries? How He warned them how bad it would be for them? Anyway, Jesus will be the King on earth during the Millennial Kingdom, and David will be the human King under Jesus. (Ezekiel 37:24) In fact, during the Millennial Kingdom, God will fulfill all His promises to Israel that haven't yet been fulfilled. The Jews, Israel, will be the head of all the countries and everyone will at least visit Jerusalem at some time. There will still be sacrifices at the Temple, although they won't be the same as before because they will now be a symbol of what Jesus did for them and for us all. The temple, the sacrifices, the priests duties etc are all described in Ezekiel 40-48. (Isaiah, Malachi, Zechariah, Zephaniah, Jeremiah and others also speak about this)
Isaiah tells us that at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom God will prepare a feast for everyone in Jerusalem. It seems that the judging of people who survived the trib and the nations will be done in Jerusalem before the Kingdom is established, so everyone alive will be there. We will be there too as we will be helping Jesus and His angels. Isaiah also tells us that during the Millennium, gentiles will also be allowed in the temple, so some things will be different, but the basic laws God gave us in the OT will still be the same. And of course, our God will be the same.
There's quite a lot said about the Millennial Kingdom in the prophetic books, and the rest of the Old testament can also give us a good picture of what it will be like. Even when Israel sins and God deals with them for it, will give us an idea of what will happen when someone sins in the Millennial Kingdom, because there will be sin there. Satan will be bound, but those who survived the trib will still have their sin nature and the world to tempt them to sin. (and eventually, toward the end, Satan will be loosed).
I would think everyone who's saved would want to know that since we'll all be involved there in one way or another! That's just one of many good reasons to know the Old Testament well!
