I bet you are exhausted what with all you've been doing. I can't even imagine it. I'm glad that having them in school will give you a break. I keep hoping that as things continue to get worse that my daughter will eventually decide to let me homeschool the kids. I have to admit though, even with all the bad stuff, the school they go to has tremendous programs and courses for them to take. it's so much better than the schools in my town were or are. Since they are going to public school, it's certainly the best school I've ever known to have them all in. (all but a couple of my 12 grandkids go to the schools in that school district, and they're all really very good. (except for the secular worldview they teach, but you can't get away from that). I have a feeling though that the rapture may happen before I get a chance to do that.

When anyone sees this, will you please keep my daughter Jennifer and her husband, Bob, in your prayers? It's almost unbelievable, but Bob got laid off yet again yesterday! (this is the 6th time it's happened in the last 2 years!) Jennifer's holding up for the moment. God got her good, because she had been teaching a friend about God and how you have to trust Him during the hard times, even when you don't understand why they're happening.... so she couldn't very well fall apart when this happened. But I know it's hard for her as they have practically no money and now he's out of work yet again. Of course it's a test for me as well, as I'd rather go through it myself than have her go through it. But I'm still going through it myself anyway until Bruce is back to work full time. So while I've been doing well trusting Him for our provision, now I have to trust Him for their provision too. Hmmm I wasn't expecting this test. I guess it's the Lord's version of a pop quiz. Anyway, I know I'll be fine, but would really appreciate prayers for Jenn and Bob; mainly that Bob would get a good job close to home very quickly. Thanks everyone!

Hi Cindy I read your post what you wrote yesterday, but I am just now logging on today. Saying prayer for your prayer request. I was doing yard work before sunset, there sure are some ugly bugs, like large black scorpion looking bugs.

Oh my Cindy....will be praying for you all!! what type of job or work was he laid off of and why?
A part of me would also like to homeschool Devon....and he has actually mentioned it a couple of times. This area is not nearly as bad as some parts of the country....but it still is secular.....but it could be sooooo much worse.
Devon has even done some writing ( stories, essays etc.) about God and there was no problem .....
some schools I have read in the news, youtube etc.
have expelled children, or failed them ,or given them a reprimand ( as it might hurt another student's feeling etc. etc.)
But I need more energy to be able to do it 5 days a week for 6-8 of class. Yet, there is a part of me, that would love to teach Creation Science, History based on scripture, art based on the bible, etc etc.

Can you say a prayer for a British man that is online at chat named Gerrhard. He is a Christian but no matter how much people encourage him the encouragement seems to not be working. He lost his family, and job because of a party lifestyle and now he is inconsolable, two weeks ago he slit both his wrists. He so thinks he is worthless, no one can reach him by talking to him. I think he needs a miracle from the Lord. I cry when I read what he writes. Only God can reach him.

Intestingly, I read a great article about it last night. I'll have to post it here today. It's called: Educational Limbo: How Low Can You Go? And then saw another one called, Encouragement for the homeschooling Parent. I'll post that one too. The first one was really good though. I guess I'll put them in the "The End Times, Rapture, Tribulation, Millennium, & Eternity" forum, in the Growing in Christ Bible Studies Section. Home schooling is not easy, but it is better....I don't think I would be able to do it either Fearnot! got class at work again today, should be the last one...maybe..

Well, I'm going to run and post those articles because they were so very good and were actually about the end times so they go in that forum very well. (the one in the growing in Christ bible studies section, not the one in this section.)

We had a thunderstorm last night. The lightning and thunder were close by at the same time, also at the same time the circuit breaker in the home and the breaker outside switched off and the lights went out when all that happened suddenly at once I let out a scream. One of my dogs was hiding under a desk and the other dog had a toy and thought it would be a fun time to play. Gotta wonder what is wrong with that one dog. lol

it's breakfast at church this morning, then out to see Johnny. one of his good friends got hit and killed while on the job as a tow truck driver, a tractor trailer drifted out of his lane, and hit the tow truck driver....people are suppose to slow down and move over, it's a law, but they don't. there is a big movement now to enforce that law. So we are going out to support Johnny and Diana in their loss.

It is SO important to move over or slow down, when there is a vehicle on the side of the road. Even if you go through there every day, and it was there yesterday. The people might be there now. My cousin got hit by a car. He's also a tow truck driver. He survived, but he's in pain all the time, and he's two years younger than me, but looks way older. Pain does that. I almost got hit, as well. In Oklahoma City. My semi broke down. And while the tow truck driver was hooking my truck up, I was busy inside, updating my log book. He warned me that the truck would be a lot higher off the ground, when I was ready to get out. I said "ok", but totally spaced it. When I was fixin' to climb out, I literally dropped straight down (about 5 feet) and fell backward, into the slow lane. The tow truck driver was right there and grabbed my wrists and pulled me in, just as a car was whizzing by. I felt his mirror barely graze my back. (either that, or it was the displacement of air, I felt) I held onto that guy for a long time.......like a vice. I was frozen. Then it started pouring down rain and he wasn't done hooking me up. So, he said to go get into the tow truck. I did, and his wife poked her head out from the back seat and asked me if I was alright. Startled the daylights out of me. LOL I didn't know anyone was there! Then I said "Hey, I was holding onto your husband for my life, nothing else." She laughed and said that she'd seen the whole thing, and understood.
But, my whole point, is YES, I agree with you! People need to move OVER!! If you can't move over, then slow down and pay attention. And when you are passing someone. Doesn't matter what type of vehicle. If you don't see BOTH of their headlights in your rear view mirror, you are too close to move back in front of them.
I am so sorry for your friend's loss.

Thanks Cheryl! Wow you had a close call there!
Johnny is Ron’s older son and my stepson! Diana is our daughter in law. We got to meet Johnny’s Papa, the grandfather that raised him. We had a great visit and learned a lot about Johnny, he’s a great young man! He had his problems and apparently he was a lot like Matt! But turned out great!
Today was church and then lazing back in the park for a picnic lunch and hanging with the Boy!
a good weekend all in all...

They usually run and hide, but this time everytime the thunder or lightening struck, I'd quickly tell them in a calm soothing voice that it was OK, and they were safe, and they actually stayed put. They were still on "high alert" lol, but they didn't run away for a change. it's breakfast at church this morning, then out to see Johnny. one of his good friends got hit and killed while on the job as a tow truck driver, a tractor trailer drifted out of his lane, and hit the tow truck driver....people are suppose to slow down and move over, it's a law, but they don't. there is a big movement now to enforce that law. I am so sorry for your friend's loss. It's strange, but here, anytime someone is pulled over, everyone seems to slow to a crawl and stare out their windows to see what's wrong. But they don't stop and offer to help of course - at least not most of them. Bruce always does though. He's pulled more cars and trucks out of places then I can count over the years LOL. And changed tires, fixed things, etc. I'm surprised people don't do that everywhere. I'm sure glad you weren't hurt though Cheryl! Thanks Cheryl! Wow you had a close call there! I'm with you Lulu. I was just recently reading something in Revelation that gave me the impression that the rapture almost has to happen very soon...but now I can't remember what it was... I'll have to check again tomorrow. But I'm praying too and asking the Father to send Jesus now!
I'm sorry to hear about your sisters daughters. There's a great deal of that going on these days for sure. I'll certainly pray for them as well!

Had a rainstorm this morning. I was walking my friend's dog when it started raining a little. We walked faster and were a block away from home when the rain really came down. We got wet but it was refreshing, I thought. The dog didn't think so! She does not like rain. But there was a big rainbow out and it was so pretty.
My daughter will be here tomorrow afternoon to pick up some things she wants to take with her when she moves to Alabama. One is a set of encyclopedias that my husband's grandfather owned. The covers are not in the best shape but they can still be read.
Hope everyone has a good week. Hugs.

Wow, it would be interesting to see those old encyclopedias! I haven't seen any at all since I got rid of the set I'd had for the kids when they were young. Happy Tuesday! So far so good I guess . Ron’s been working on cars, both my HHR’s have problems and his S10 truck has a problem! If it’s not one thing it’s another! Works going ok, been busy at least. . It seems like there's always some kind of problem with cars. I hope you are able to get them fixed easily and cheaply!
Not much going on here. Just the normal every day type stuff.

I wish that I had the encyclopedias that we had in our home when I was a kid. I have been noticing butterflies the last few days, nice to see yellow butterflies instead of just large black color butterflies.

Now that you mention it, I've noticed a lot of butterflies around our yard lately too. I enjoy watching them and so do the cats LOL well, making it through this week with smiles, keeping busy, so far so good....even with the cloud hanging over us. Amen! As I've been studying, I've noticed something about perseverance that I hadn't before, which is that it seems to be closely related to love.... Just a little trivia I found interesting for the day....
Because of all the butterflies, I'm again considering planting some kind of flowers that they especially like next year, if I can.
Bruce finally let me schedule his stress test. It's going to be next Tuesday. I'm sure he'll do just fine on it, as he does a lot more at work already then he'll have to do on the test. Once that's done, we'll just have to see the doctor to following week to check the results and that portion of his recovery will finally be put to rest.

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all having a good day, and looking forward to the weekend. We don't have anything special planned, just the usual...grocery shopping and the kids coming over the next day after Church. Maybe we'll have time to work on putting our pictures in order....we'll see.

Have fun Lulu, that looks like a fun group of woman to be with.
I have been sewing, making a dress, hope it fits well, my first sewing project since I was in high school, so I am rusty and sewing is slow, hopefully, the next thing I sew I will pick up some speed at sewing. So much to do for fun and work and not enough time. So much rain lately so it is a good time to look at pretty wildflowers. Getting cloudy, it might rain so I will go get my clothes off of the clothesline, I don't have a dryer.

happy Saturday everyone! Looks like a happy group of gals to hang out with! Sadly, many are affected by Alzheimers and dementia, which shows that so many showed up for those speakers. My daughter Jennifer's husband, Bob's parents both have dementia now. His dad was recently put in a nursing home as he turned violent, and his mom isn't far behind. It's hard on Bob and Jenn too.Have fun Lulu, that looks like a fun group of woman to be with.

My Mom was a good seamstress, but I always hated sewing. She taught me, but because I hated it, I forgot it all when I turned 18 and no longer had to do it. I wish now I hadn't been so stubborn as it would have come in handy if I'd been able to sew my kids clothes like my mom did mine. I'm sure it will come back quickly for you though since you enjoy it!I think...not quite awake yet....but working on it!
I love your graphic Lulu!
We had a nice weekend. The kids came over and Jenn and I went through pictures and tried to get more of them in order. It was hot outside so the kids took their water balls and played with them for awhile. (they're refillable balls that you fill with water and then throw at each other ) Then Bruce gave Elijah a cooking lesson while Gracie helped us. Elijah likes to cook, but was having trouble flipping pancakes. Jenn said he'd ruined more than six last time and had to stop lol. So Bruce gave him a lesson in it as we didn't care how many it took till he got the hang of it. Bruce wanted him to learn to do it from scratch anyway. Elijah actually picked it up very quickly once Bruce showed him his "tricks" lol. So Elijah cooked all the pancakes and Bruce put on the bacon and sausage, and we all had a wonderful breakfast for dinner! It was really yummy!
