Started a prayer request. There is a wildfire on the side of town and they are evacuating people. The evacuation is just one block south and east of us. It is so windy here all day and this was a fire that started yesterday that they thought they ahd put out.

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!! PLAYING PIANO WITH CATS!
Cindy, I saw this video and thought you would enjoy seeing it. Wow Lee, hope you are OK, even just breathing smoke only is difficult to do, let alone having to evacuate.

Hi everyone! Long time, no chat... I wanted to let y'all know that I am going to be a grandma! Killian and Megan are expecting their first, a baby girl, Aug 26 due date :) we are all so thrilled :)
also we decided to sell our home and I would like to ask for prayers for a smooth transition. We aren't moving to Louisiana yet.. and we have a place to live, so I am putting all of this in Gods hands and asking for direction :)

Lee, my prayers are with you and everyone in the path of the fire and that smoke. Anna, I watched your video. It was cute, and I kept watching to see the cat start hitting the keys all by himself, LOL!! I kinda expected that to happen, but it didn't. Congrats, Kel on the upcoming grand baby, selling the house and the eventual move to Louisiana. Big things happening in a short amount of time, I can understand why you are tired.

Hossanah just got the call today......she got the position!!!
Probably in 2 weeks, she will go for the one month of training
How is the fire situation Lee?
Wow Kel congrats....in more ways than one!!!
I am glad your tummy is still there Cindy!!! LOL
Which reminds me, my first try at fermented carrots came out great!!
I had read people did not always great results....oh not that they had mold, or anything bad but some complained about the texture ( too mushy or two crunchy etc.)
Mine came out just right and super tasty....I added shredded ginger and some coriander.

Yippee Kel and Hossanah!
I have to go scrub the inside of my pressure cooker, I made lasagna and forgot to put it in its own pan, so some of it stuck to the bottom of the cooker.
I had a nice chat with a woman today named Valerie, I had not seen here in chat for awhile, so we chatted and an hour quickly passed by, but in our enjoying our chat we ignored pastor Scott, I did not realize it until the time ended and Scott said something. The pastor makes effort every weekday for a few hours and it is a blessing but lately, it has been lonely there, no one is showing up there, I hope he keeps doing what he does and does not give up like he said he might. I suppose he will pray about it and do the will of the Lord.

It is interesting that both of you ( Lulu and Kel) are moving at the same time!! yep, and still more today too. Each morning we've woken up and found everything outside white again. Then most of it melts during the day, although it's still be cold and raw outside each day. Supposedly it's all supposed to end this weekend and by Sunday the temps are supposed to be up to 60 during the day.... I hope... I think everyone here will believe it wen they see it at this point.
Poor Elijah, he has had the flu and missed school all week and now has had to miss the hunters class too. I emailed the instructor though and he said Elijah could take the next class in August, so that's good. Bruce plans on teaching him a bunch of stuff before then so he'll be ahead of the class.

Well after a nice sunny day yesterday....we have ( surprise....not) clouds LOL
But snow again.....I best not grumble wow! The middle of April and still snowing...yeah that global warming can be brutal...or maybe it's really a tiny mini solar minimum colder than normal year?
But prayerfully the sun will indeed win out soon. Tho I don't mind clouds and rain even in the summer ( no need to water) just not every day.

Barbra and Leonard,I don't know if you live near this location or not but I thought I would give out the information, if this was close to where I live I would go to it.
It is my pleasure and honor to announce “Praise Fest 2018” brought to you by Begotten Son Ministries. pastor Scott. The church is located in sleepy little Eagle Creek, a suburb 24 miles East of Portland, Oregon; just off Hwy 211/224 near Estacada. The address is 31121 SE Eagle Cliff Lane, Eagle Creek, Oregon 97022. See link below to get directions from your location.
The gathering will be held Saturday, May 26th at 12:00 noon and last till 8:00 pm. We will dedicate this day as a celebration of praise and worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lift our hearts, hands, and voices to the Lord. Congrats Hosannah!! Thats great!! AND THANK YOU EVERYONE for the congrats.. Were excited about the grand baby! We are going to move into the duplex that Devyn and Killian own. Devyn wants another place and so we will be moving in on her side to and will live there until its time to retire (or sooner) we are aiming at 6 years tops.
It works out for everyone, and we can help if the kids need help with the baby and we will be able to save money. we are excited for that.
Lulu, I missed whee you are going.. Arizona? I read and reread, but I must of missed it due to being sleepy.. lol
Church service was great today, all about praying without ceasing. so needed to hear the word today.. <3

Sounds wonderful Marlene! I hope you had a great weekend too! Hanging out with the Boy and Ash! But gotta get ready for church.... Great! Believe it or not, we actually made it to Church yesterday too. Two of my grandchildren, Joey and Maddie, were being baptized, so I'd really wanted to go. Wasn't sure I'd be able to right up to the last minute but I finally made it lol. It was an interesting service and I'd been wanting to check out the church for quite awhile to be sure it wasn't teaching false doctrine. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was speaking the Truth. The sermon was actually very good! I still have some reservations about it, but at least I don't have to be concerned about outright false teaching. Congrats Hosannah!! Thats great!! AND THANK YOU EVERYONE for the congrats.. Were excited about the grand baby! We are going to move into the duplex that Devyn and Killian own. Just curious is all. I'm sure it's a nice place.
After the baptisms yesterday, I worked in the yard and totally wrecked my back. I couldn't believe how much pain I was in the morning. Because of that, I guess I'm just going to have to let it go and admit I can't do it anymore. I'm stubborn and don't give up easily, but this kind of pain doesn't stop very soon. In fact, I think I may have done more damage in my back, and I really don't want to go through anymore than I already have to.
Well, have a good day everyone.

Cindy I can understand why you should not do outdoor gardening, I would have a difficult time doing outdoor gardening. I can't seem to finish the outdoor work that I need to do, which is painting, I still need to buy the paint. I noticed that the outdoors rabbits did not like the salty carrots but really liked a ripe banana that I gave them. Doing sprouting is easy Cindy, I have sunflower sprouts right now on my kitchen table, I buy the sprout seeds through a mazon. Good to read about your visit to the church last Sunday.
Kel I would have liked that church service where the pastor talked about prayer without ceasing. I told a man named Heath in Christian chat that I would like to pray without ceasing and he told me he has been doing that now for 1 1/2 years and it has been a blessing for him to do so. Have a blessed day everyone.

I told a man named Heath in Christian chat that I would like to pray without ceasing and he told me he has been doing that now for 1 1/2 years and it has been a blessing for him to do so. Have a blessed day everyone. It's hard to let go of for me. I worked at it last year really hard because I knew I couldn't do much more, and wound up hurting myself badly and causing myself a whole lot of pain. But I figured it was worth it if it would enable my garden to do well without me having to do much work in it anymore. The last thing I did was try to pull out a whole bunch of weird vines that had started around my neighbors tree. They hadn't taken care of it and the vines which were full of stickers were spreading like crazy and had now invaded my bushes that are just before my garden. I got a bunch out and figured I'd have to finish it this spring. That's what I was working on and I did get some done, but not nearly enough. I hate giving up because that means that everything I did from last year even, all that work was for nothing. Because now they'll just all grow back and there's nothing I can do about it. My daughter, Jenn, offered to work on it for me yesterday, but I told her no. Part of the reason I'd had to stop was because Bruce has stuff in the way and nothing more can be done until he finishes with what he's doing. Plus, I really didn't want her to try doing it as it's a whole lot of work and I didn't want her to hurt herself. (she has Cerebral Palsy and isn't supposed to do things like that anyway as it will pull her hips out of joint). But the Lord knows how I feel, so I guess I'll just have to ask Him to fix the problem for me somehow. Maybe He can kill all those vines lol. I'll never know if I don't ask, so I'll ask LOL
Praying without ceasing is wonderful. Some folks get confused and think it's speaking about praying like you'd do in church, the whole time you're awake. But it's speaking more about having a constant conversation with the Lord throughout your day in addition to your regular prayer time. I love doing that because it keeps my mind focused on Him and the things that are most important instead of earthly things. And besides that, it keeps me surrounded by His loving arms all day!
That's nice that you're able to have your sprouts inside like that. I can't do that because of our cats. They'd just eat them or knock them over and play in the dirt. So I have to wait and start mine outside.
Hope you have a good day today too!
Lots going on with everyone. Kel, you will love being a Grandma! Lots of wind here so my allergies are driving me crazy. Sorry to hear that Margie. I hope they ease up for you soon. My son in law is having a rough time because of his allergies and asthma too. enjoying the quietness of the morning...praying....hear kitty meows off in the distance, dreaming of the country where when you look up you see stars, instead of planes. If you really listen you can hear the freeway off in the distance also. Wondering what REAL quiet sounds like..... That's what I love about living where we do Lulu. I used to live in a city before we moved to NH, so it was quite a change for me, but I loved it and still do. At night, normally you can't hear a thing unless some animals come visit from the woods, and it's the same way during the day too. The only things I normally hear are my cats, the birds, our critters and any other animals that come to visit. And the stars are so bright at night it's amazing. I remember when we first moved here, over 30 years ago, how surprised I was at the difference and how it seemed I could see so many more stars too. While I love it all now, it also makes me long for the new earth and new heavens the Lord will make for us, as I can't wait to see what it will all be like with absolutely no stain of sin on anything anymore. I think I've talked the Lord's ear off about that by now LOL I hope Jesus comes for us soon, but I honestly wonder if it won't still be awhile yet. Not a long while, but it seems like it still needs to get worse before He'll come. Of course it doesn't have to, He could come today, but it's just something I've been thinking about as I said....
Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day today!

Attachment DeletedI miss hearing and seeing critters from the forest. Up north we saw them all the time. Deer, Bob Cats even, wild turkeys....
well yesterday was an interesting day at work...we have been going through many changes, for many years. Every time a new engineer comes in or there is a regime change, they all seem to get together and change things up for us pee-ons. the newest change are the production travelers. they travel with the jobs/kits through the shop and track whats done and by whom, the new ones are wicked bad, missing operations, confusing sequences, no guidance on what exactly a person is or should be doing next. that along with missing operations, makes for a guessing game. mistakes will be made! so in the aerospace department, where I am in process and final inspector...QC...we have five jobs/kits with tons of missing paper work, missing operations on travelers, and the worst, is missing traceability logs. these logs have part numbers, date code numbers and lots numbers of every part put on the boards... EVERY PART! thousands on some boards....well nothing...nada.....so Lulu went nuclear with a smile on the big wigs, and stopped production on all five jobs..man did they all scramble.....I should have what is needed for all five jobs this morning....

Well the last 2 or 3 days we have been in the upper 70's....not supposed to last but it's been nice....that is summer temps for us!!! Not even Spring
Cindy: You said the vines were invading your bushes....are they bushes you really want to keep?
Because you could put salt down... but if that worries you because you are worried about the soil ph or something,
you could also pour boiling water from a tea kettle or pan/pot/bowl on them.....
or use vinegar and salt( to cut back on the salt)....
also you could try baking soda
or bleach,
or throw an old plastic shower curtain on them ( with mulch or mulch, rock or something to hold it down ( if you don't have one handy, then newspapers, or something to block the light ( an old sheet maybe?)
WD 40
Alcohol ( if you have any LOL)
dish soap ( probably diluted but if pesky maybe try full strength)
Anyway....I been watching Devon all week and will continue thru Fri. However......
Hossanah will find out today when she has to go to Troutdale for a month of training ( soooooo I am just guessing....but maybe even as early as Monday?)
Which means I will not only be watching 4 kids at times, but laundry, dishes, feed cats, checking backpacks for any school event etc etc.
But.....Hossanah said: I will pay you.....always always I have said no but this one time, I said.......OK LOL
I don't expect much money....but .....
since I am no longer cleaning the B & B
and
her birthday and Devon's etc. are coming up soon.....( June and July) and then son Michael and hubby in Aug
I thought, yeah, I will be able then to get them a birthday presents.
Oh Anna I looked up on a map.......and no we do not live near the ministry event :-(
