I hear Trump quoted John about loving each other. I hope people aren't fooled because he quotes scripture, especially that one. His life shows he doesn't know what a life of sacrificial love looks like. It's not a once in awhile thing, but a continuous way of life. It immediately made me think of how Jesus told us we would know a person by what kind of fruit was in their life and that believing in Him was not enough - demons believe and tremble. Instead we must believe and obey. (John 15) From the fruit of his life I've seen lawsuits for rape of both women and children, (some settled out of court) mocking of the handicapped, women and others he disagrees with, prejudice, a long time close friend and confidant that's a pedophile, pornography, foul language, and much anger and bitterness to only name a few. Plus we're told that someone that's full of anger and bitterness is still captive to sin -not good. I've seen little love or forgiveness in him. Anyone can say words, it's living them that counts.
Of course I could say the same thing about Hillary. Neither of them are good or have good fruit. But that makes sense when we realize that God is judging our nation. I honestly don't understand how anyone can think He would bless us as a nation the way things are now. Not to mention that we're living in the end times...which means things will get worse not better, at least according to God. This is a time for the Church to stand firm in our faith and persevere through trials until the Lord comes for us.
Today Acts 16:17–18 caught my attention. It's where Paul casts A DEMON out of a girl who is TELLING THE TRUTH & saying that he was telling them how to be saved! So you see, Satan can tell the truth when it suits him. The problem is he only does so to suck people in long enough to get them to next believe his lies. We're told that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and that false converts disguise themselves as true followers of Christ. (2 Cor 11:13-14) This is why we MUST be discerning, and the only way we can be discerning is to know God's Word thoroughly & to live it. When Paul says, “Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.” (1 Cor 12:3) he doesn't mean that no one can literally say the words "Jesus is Lord" unless they have the Holy Spirit. We know that because we have even seen demons proclaim to people that Jesus is Lord in the gospels. What he is saying here is that it is only when someone says that TRUTHFULLY, that it is through the Holy Spirit. In other words, What a person believes and says about Jesus is the test of whether or not he speaks from the Holy Spirit and we can determine that by the fruit that is shown in their lives.
