Shirley has developed asthma and I am not doing very we'll. I am going to the wound clinic in the morning. For the first time. So I am very nervous about this appointment. Please keep us in your prayer's.

Will call tomorrow!! I got all my toxicology reports back and they are not good at all. They told me that they are not going to have to amputate, Praise God!! That was my 1st question after my examination. I had surgery on Wed on all my wounds. Ya see on top of all this, 3 weeks ago I fell and had to be transported by Ambulance to the emergency room. On top of all the wounds I previously had, I received 3 more. On the top of my leg, I need 6 stitches. Which are now out but I have a couple of bad infections going on and I am taking 3000 mg of two antibiotics a day plus 2 Probiotics a day. Also I am taking 10 mg. of Norco every 6 hours for pain. I am a mess!! Back to the amputation part. They promised me that they would not be taking the leg. They are fighting this and so am I. God is in control and I leave it all in His Hands.

I spoke to Mark finally yesterday.
The good news: the doctors have said that they are not going to amputate his leg, that they are going to fight with him to try and keep it. So at least that's not their immediate answer to the problem.
The bad news: Mark has a great deal of infection in his leg that antibiotics and all their treatments so far haven't been able to get rid of. Plus he fell recently, creating more wounds which also got infected. Yes, it's the MRSA infection. (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus -MRSA- infection is caused by a strain of staph bacteria that's become resistant to antibiotics) He's in quite a bit of pain from the wounds and infection of course and the treatments they're using cause pain themselves. He also has gotten cellulitis which compounds the problem. Although he's currently at home, he's not in good enough shape to come and visit us here himself, or else he'd be here. He does come and read sometimes, but just isn't up to replying for the most part. He's also still helping Shirley who recently had an attack of asthma for the first time, so that's a concern as well. And of course all the trips he has to make to the doctor and hospital for his own care are wearing and time consuming, and make helping Shirley that much more difficult.
Needless to say, he's a mess and really needs a great deal of prayer from us, his friends.

Update: First ' thank you for your prayers. We are having some good days. Shirley is breathing a bit better since the temps have dropped and the air is not contaminated with all the fires we have had this summer' I had surgery on Wed and the good news is that good tissue is starting to grow' The. Doctors are seeing me once a week to clean my wounds' The pain iis unbearable. But this procedure is working and I wll continue to pray and make all my appontments to get better' I am grateful for your prayers and your friendship. May God Bless each and every one of you'
