ACLU lawyers blame ‘CHRISTIAN RIGHT,’ GOP for Orlando jihad mass murder
ByPamela Geller on June 13, 2016
Christian conservatives are responsible for the mass shooting at a gay bar in Orlando because they “created this anti-queer climate,” according to American Civil Liberties Union attorneys.
“You know what is gross — your thoughts and prayers and Islamophobia after you created this anti-queer climate,” ACLU staff attorney Chase Strangio tweeted on Sunday morning.
About 50 people were killed last night by Omar Mateen, a U.S. citizen born to Afghan parents suspected to have “leanings toward extreme Islamic ideologies.” The FBI is investigating the attack as a “domestic terror incident.”
But Strangio — who “spend life fighting Christian homophobia while being loved & supported by [his] Muslim family” — and his colleagues connected the shooting back to Christians and Republican politicians who oppose gay marriage. “The Christian Right has introduced 200 anti-LGBT bills in the last six months and people blaming Islam for this,” Strangio tweeted. “No.”

Trump Will Be ‘Greatly Strengthened’ By Orlando Massacre, Says Former Israeli Ambassador To U.S.
by Deborah Danan 13 Jun 2016
“If the motive for this mass killing had been hatred for the LGBT community, this would have played to Hillary Clinton’s benefit,” said Michael Oren, who now serves as a member of Knesset from the center-right Kulanu party.
“Given that it is becoming clear that the motive is Islamist-jihadist, it will benefit Donald Trump,” Oren told Israel’s Channel 10 news Sunday.
“This will greatly strengthen him.”
Oren also said that Trump has yet to take full advantage of the situation to gain the political upper hand.
“If I was Donald Trump, I would have come out the minute that the FBI started to indicate this morning that we are talking about a guy who was operating from Islamic motivations … just his name alone – ‘Sadiqqui’ – a Muslim name, the son of Afghan immigrants who apparently maintained connections of some sort to extremist Islamic organizations, that in itself will greatly influence the presidential race.”

Hillary Clinton on Radical Islamic Terror: Trump ‘Obsessed With Name Calling’
by Charlie Spiering 13 Jun 2016
“I think Trump, as usual, is obsessed with name calling,” Clinton said in an interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, asserting that she was not unwilling to identify the nature of the attacks.
“To me, radical jihadism, radical Islamism, I think they mean the same thing and I’m happy to say either, but that’s not the point,” she said.
Clinton accused Trump of employing dangerous rhetoric against Muslims for political reasons.
“I’m not going to demonize and demagogue and declare war on an entire religion,” she said. “That’s just plain dangerous and it plays into ISIS’ hands.”

Trump blasts US Muslim communities for concealing 'bad apples'
By David Rosenberg 6/13/2016
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump responded on Monday to the deadliest mass shooting in American history, which rocked Orlando, Florida on Sunday, leaving 49 victims dead and 53 wounded.
Describing the immigration of Muslim refugees into the US as the “all-time Trojan horse”, Trump blasted local Muslim leaders for not exposing “bad apples” with inclinations towards radicalism.
“They don’t report these people,” said Trump during an interview on Fox News. “The people know who the bad apples are, where the bad seeds are. And they don’t report them.”
“You’ll find out shortly, you’ll find out that many people knew that he was bad. Many people knew he had some kind of an idea for an attack. It happens all the time. Almost all the time. We need much better intelligence.”
The perpetrator, Omar Mateen, was born in the US to Afghan refugees. Mateen declared allegiance with ISIS and has been under investigation by the FBI since 2013. Mateen was killed during a shootout with police during his attack on an Orlando nightclub.
Trump also condemned President Barack Obama’s response to the attack, noting that he had failed to refer to the incident as “radical Islamic terror”. The GOP nominee demanded the president resign, lambasting the continued immigration of refugees from countries like Syria and Afghanistan, as well as the president’s renewed call for comprehensive legislation limiting gun ownership.
“Calling on another gun ban – I mean, this man has no clue. First of all, the shooter was licensed. So he went through all the procedures, he was fully licensed to have a gun, so he would have passed the test the president would have thrown up there.”

Hillary Clinton: Muslims Are ‘Peaceful and Tolerant,’ Have ‘Nothing Whatsoever to Do With Terrorism’
by John Hayward 19 Nov 2015
In a statement her own campaign Tweeted out as her marquee comment, Clinton declared: “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”
The UK Daily Mail describes Clinton as “reading her speech at a brisk clip from a teleprompter at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City,” but slowing down to mock Republicans over the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism,” which “Republicans often accuse President Barack Obama of purposefully avoiding.”
The Daily Mail cheekily notes that Clinton “referred repeatedly to ‘radical jihadism’ as a global scourge, but didn’t explain how the concept of jihadism is consistent with the notion that adherents of the world’s second largest religion are wholly uninvolved.”

Blaming Conservatives for Muslim Terrorism
by Cliff Kincaid on June 13, 2016
Admitting that “the full facts” were still unknown, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) nevertheless issued a statement on Sunday afternoon on “the senseless act of domestic terrorism in Orlando,” saying that “it is not surprising that the LGBT community was targeted” because “This community has long been vilified by those opposed to LGBT rights and is too often the target of violent hate crimes.” This was a clever but dishonest way of trying to shift the blame to conservatives for terrorism committed by a devoted follower of Islam.
Notice how the SPLC made no mention of the killer’s religious affiliation or motivation, or his acknowledgement of inspiration from ISIS.
Remember that the SPLC is a group which has been consulted by law enforcement authorities at the federal and other levels, including the FBI, and is frequently cited by the media as a legitimate and authoritative “civil rights” organization.
In the days ahead, expect media denunciations of conservatives as somehow responsible for the “homophobia” that drove a faithful follower of Islam to commit mass murder. This is how the SPLC will drive the discussion in the media and cause law enforcement agencies to miss even more terrorist plots. The FBI, which consults the SPLC and failed to uncover Omar Mateen’s terrorist connections, appears to have no understanding of the deadly ideological game that is being played.
President Obama initially blamed the guns, his standard ploy. But the Southern Poverty Law Center was floating a different explanation that is now getting some traction on the left. And that is that conservatives are really to blame for the anti-gay motivation of the Islamic terrorist, because conservatives have opposed the homosexual agenda and have, therefore, made it acceptable to kill gays. Hence, Omar Mateen was really just a patsy of the right-wing. After all, he detested gays kissing one another in public, just like conservatives do.
The Orlando massacre at a gay club put the left-wing legal group in a difficult situation, since it has been focusing on conservatives as the major threat to the homosexual agenda. The group’s demonizing of conservatives, such as depicting the Family Research Council (FRC) as a “hate group,” led to a terrorist attack on the FRC headquarters in Washington, D.C. A homosexual sympathizer walked into the building and opened fire, wounding a security guard before being apprehended and disarmed. He had planned to massacre other employees and testified that an SPLC “hate map” showed him where to go. He was angry at the FRC for opposing the homosexual agenda and was egged on by the propaganda from the SPLC.
Yet, the Department of Justice still cooperates with the SPLC. Despite the SPLC’s indirect involvement in the terrorist attack on the FRC, Assistant Attorney General John P. Carlin spoke at an October 14, 2015, event co-sponsored by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the George Washington University Center for Cyber and Homeland Security’s Program on Extremism.

Jihadist Terror Strikes America Once Again
Jay Sekulow
...How many more Americans must be slaughtered before we realize that ISIS and other radical Islamic terrorist organizations around the world are at war with us? They want to kill as many Americans as possible.
They want to destroy us because we believe in freedom and pluralism. Until we acknowledge the threat, name the enemy, and move to eliminate this threat, they will continue their war against America.
Until we fix our systemic problems within our failed intelligence agencies and until we are willing to recognize the true nature of the enemy we face, this will keep happening. Just like the terrorist attacks at Fort Hood and San Bernardino, there were security failures in this case leading up to the Orlando terrorist attack.
We now know that Mateen had been under FBI investigation twice and interviewed by the FBI numerous times. The Wall Street Journal has more details on these disturbingly dangerous developments:
Omar Mateen, a U.S.-born son of Afghan immigrants, was already known to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which twice investigated him over hints of radical leanings before closing those cases as inconclusive. …
Mr. Mateen’s call echoed FBI concerns about him in 2013, “when he made inflammatory remarks to co-workers alleging possible terrorist ties,” said Ronald Hopper, an FBI official in Orlando. The bureau, “thoroughly investigated the matter, including interviews of witnesses, physical surveillance, and records checks,” he said, and “ultimately, we were unable to verify the substance of his comments and the investigation was closed.”
What triggered the 2013 investigation, said officials briefed on it, were “wild” claims he made to co-workers about having family and friends in al Qaeda and Hezbollah, and connections to the Boston Marathon bombers. When FBI agents first questioned him, he didn’t admit to making the claims and didn’t have a full understanding of the terrorist groups, they said, suggesting he was making up his claims.
When FBI agents questioned him again, he admitted to making the statements, saying it was simply bluster and he hadn’t known what he was talking about, officials said. Those earlier claims have fueled doubts regarding Mr. Mateen’s assertion about acting on behalf of Islamic State.
The second investigation in 2014 centered on possible connections with Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, the first American who traveled to Syria and carried out a radical jihadist suicide bombing.
Despite making statements about ties to terrorist organizations and possible connections with a known American jihadist, Mateen was able to carry out the largest terrorist attack since 9/11.
This is a fundamental failure that resulted in dozens of lives lost. This is yet another example of the Obama Administration’s refusal to realize we are in an ideological war.
President Obama tells us ISIS is on the run when it is actually on the rise. President Obama tells us that they do not pose an existential threat because Americans, as he puts it, are more likely to be killed in car accidents or bathtubs than they are by ISIS.
Tell that to the victims and their families in Orlando.

At Pulse Memorial, Obama Blasts Republicans For Arming Terrorists
by Charlie Spiering 16 Jun 2016
Standing at the memorial for the victims of the terrorist attack at a gay night club in Orlando, Florida, President Barack Obama implicitly blamed Republicans for the attack because they blocked gun control laws.
Obama referred to both attackers in San Bernardino and Orlando as “homegrown” and “lone wolf” terrorists who had access to guns, comparing them to other mass shooters on American soil.
“Our politics have conspired to make it as easy as possible for a terrorist — or just a disturbed individual to like those in Aurora or Newtown — to buy extraordinary powerful weapons, and they can do so legally,” he said.
Obama flew to Orlando this afternoon and was joined by Vice President Joe Biden. The pair went to the Orlando Magic arena to meet the families, about two miles from the night club where the attack occurred.
Later, Obama said that the grieving families he met “don’t care about politics.”
“Neither do I. Neither does Joe,” Obama said, referring to the Vice President. “This debate needs to change. It’s outgrown the old political stalemates. Those who defend the easy accessibility of assault weapons should meet these families.”
Obama and Biden traveled to the makeshift memorial at the Phillips Center and placed a wreath of flowers at the scene before making his comments.
He lectured Second Amendment gun rights advocates, ordering them to explain “why it is they think our liberty requires these repeated tragedies.”
“That’s not the meaning of liberty,” he said angrily.
The president dismissed the argument from gun rights supporters that if more people had been armed in the club, the gunman could have been stopped.
“The notion that the answer to this tragedy would be to make sure that more people in a nightclub are similarly armed to the killer, defies common sense,” he said.

Fighting Terror with Stupidity
by Jonah Goldberg June 17, 2016
Political distractions abound in the wake of the horrific shooting.
What a dumb time to be alive.
In a normal country during normal times, the jihadi terrorist shooting in Orlando in which 49 people were murdered in cold blood — and more than 50 injured — would be a cause for a serious debate about national security. Instead, it has been taken as an opportunity to light a bonfire of the inanities.
Let’s start at the top. President Obama once famously said (more than once, actually), “Don’t tell me words don’t matter.”
Responding to complaints from Donald Trump and others that he won’t say the words “radical Islamic terrorism,” Obama huffed, “Calling a threat by a different name does not make it go away. This is a political distraction.”
Never mind that Obama’s passion refuted his own argument. Perhaps he’s right that “there is no magic to the phrase ‘radical Islam,’” but if that’s the case, why the years of stubborn refusal to say it? It’s almost like Obama still thinks “words matter” — he just wants to mock anyone who thinks the “wrong” words matter.
But let’s discuss this “political distraction” business. Before the blood had been mopped up in Orlando, the president and the woman seeking to replace him immediately tried to make the second-worst Islamic terror attack on American soil into anything other than Islamic terrorism.
Over and over again, news outlets uncritically reported on the “common-sense” effort to implement more stringent background checks and get rid of automatic weapons, AR-15s, and other “assault” weapons. Well, automatic weapons — i.e., machine guns — are already essentially banned for civilians. And the weapon used in Orlando wasn’t an assault weapon or an AR-15. As for background checks, they already exist. Moreover, the FBI conducted two extensive investigations into the shooter — a background check far more exhaustive than any proposed checks.
The terror-watch-list ban on gun purchases that Democrats now desire is a constitutional horror show if you believe, as the ACLU does, that the federal government shouldn’t be allowed to unilaterally draw up secret lists to deny people their civil rights. ...
The killer was a registered Democrat. The source of his hatred was not the Christian Coalition but radical Islamism. He stated this motivation clearly during the shooting and for months prior. He reportedly also considered attacking that notorious gay hangout Disney World. Would we be hearing about the pernicious, right-wing, anti-cartoon-character climate if he’d opted for that target?

Media Mislead About Mateen’s Motives
by Roger Aronoff on June 20, 2016
The mainstream media are desperate to distract from the facts of the Orlando shootings, choosing instead to blame Republicans and conservatives for the deaths of 49 individuals at a gay bar called Pulse. In reality, the attacks were perpetrated by an American-born Islamic jihadist who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State during the attack, and had in the past “boasted of ties to the terrorist groups Hezbollah and Al Qaeda.”
Instead of discussing the ramifications of terror worldwide and in our midst, the liberal media have reignited their quest for new gun control legislation and have sought to blame this attack on Republicans in general, and presumptive Republican candidate Donald Trump in particular.
Omar Mateen’s “bullets and the blood he left behind that early morning were a reminder that in many corners of the country, gay and transgender people are still regarded as sinners and second-class citizens who should be scorned,” wrote The New York Times editorial board in a scathing piece aimed squarely at Republicans. They write that the “precise motivation for [Mateen’s] rampage remains unclear.”
“So far this year, more than 200 anti-L.G.B.T. bills have been introduced in 34 states,” writes the Times editorial board, focusing on the politics of Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). “The 49 people killed in Orlando were victims of a terrorist attack. But they also need to be remembered as casualties of a society where hate has deep roots.”
As Bernard Goldberg notes, this editorial is completely ridiculous. “If the killer were Christian the Times would have connected the dots and concluded he was driven by his religion,” he writes. Yet the Times failed to mention Islam or ISIS when discussing an Islam-inspired attack on U.S. soil.
“So, he [Mateen] was a gay Muslim Democrat,” notes Jim Treacher for The Daily Caller. “He hit the trifecta of victimhood.” Mateen belonged to too many minority groups, so many that liberals claim at all costs that he cannot be blamed for his own actions. “That means it has to be the gun’s fault, and the NRA’s fault, and the GOP’s fault, and Christians’ fault, and white people’s fault,” writes Treacher.

Trump: We need to profile Muslims - like Israel does
By Arutz Sheva Staff 6/19/2016
...While prominent Democrats, including President Obama, have called for stricter gun laws after the massacre, Trump argued the US needs to improve its tracking of potential terrorists, citing Israel as a “successful” example.
Blaming what he characterized as “political correctness” for the failure of law enforcement authorities to investigate radical mosques, Trump said that profiling Muslims, while unpleasant, may be necessary.
“I think profiling is something that we're going to have to start thinking about as a country,” Trump said, noting that “other countries do it”, highlighting the example of Israel.
“[Y]ou look at Israel and you look at others, and they do it. And they do it successfully.”
“I hate the concept of profiling. But we have to start using common sense, and we have to use -- we have to use our heads.”more www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/213823

The Nuclear Option: Mr. President, Is a Gun Ban for Jihadis ‘Islamophobia’?
by Charles Hurt 23 Jun 2016
BOCA GRANDE, Fla. — Weeks before killing 49 infidels in Orlando, Omar Mateen walked into a Florida gun store trying to buy body armor and a thousand rounds of ammunition. Suspicious about a Middle Eastern-looking guy jabbering a foreign language into a cellphone, the gun-store clerk denied the man service.
It is exactly this kind of religious bigotry that plays right into the hands of peace-loving Muslims who increasingly see America as a country at war with their peaceful, loving religion.
It is this kind of anti-Islamic profiling that forces peace-loving Muslims like Mateen to peacefully kill 49 people partying so maliciously at a club in Orlando. This is what President Obama has been warning us for eight years now.
Wisely, the leader of the free world refuses to use the term “radical Islamic terrorism,” which formulation just verbalizes the hateful gun store clerk’s prejudiced actions against the peaceful Omar Mateen.
And it is exactly because of Mr. Obama’s wise refusal to utter that hateful phrase that the world today is dominated by so many hot spots of peace and why the peaceful rulers of Islam are presently raining so much love and peace on all of us all around the world.
And it is why Hillary Clinton, our next leader of the free world, constantly warns against this sort of behavior because it can be used as a recruitment took by Islamic peacemongers to gain more followers to carry out their designs for world harmony.

The American Left is Evil: Orlando Shooting
By Lloyd Marcus June 22, 2016
The American Left is just plain evil. Not only do they not seek truth, they suppress it. Everything the Left does, including shamefully exploiting the slaughter of Americans in a nightclub, is to further their deception and their power to force their unpopular agenda down our throats.
Leftists are the minority. However, they own the federal government, social media, public education, Hollywood, and the Democratic party. They incite misdirected anger, hate and guilt to bully the public into embracing their anti-American and anti-God agenda. Because the Left controls the media, they get away with falsely portraying their opposition. The Left takes disapproval of them forcing their agenda on us to absurd extremes.
For example: If you say “no” to men using girl’s restrooms, Leftists in the media brand you an insane hatemonger who seeks the murder of all homosexuals. If you disagree with the Left’s illogical obsession with disarming Americans, repealing the second amendment, Leftist media brands you a racist toothless idiot redneck that wants to shoot all people who do not look like you.
The Left used the same take-opposition-to-absurd-extremes tactic to brand the Tea Party racist. The good folks in the Tea Party simply disagreed with Obama’s unlawful overreaching and ignoring of the Constitution. The Congressional Black caucus despicably took their opposition to the absurd extreme of claiming that the Tea Party would “love” to see black Americans “hanging on a tree.”
Upon hearing about the Orlando nightclub shooting, I told my wife Mary, “You watch, the Left will say all who disapprove with men using girl’s restrooms are just as bad as the Orlando shooter.” Sure enough, that was the Left’s outrageous absurd storyline reported by numerous news outlets. Summarizing the Left’s media blitz, they said if you do not affirm the LGBT community and the implementation of their agenda, you are equal to the Orlando shooter; a rabid hater, responsible for those killed in the nightclub. I wonder how many Americans are falling for it.
Do you see how the Left’s insidious game is played? All who oppose the Left’s relentless attacks on biblical principles and our constitutional rights are branded stupid, haters, and bigots by the media. Then the Left launches a shock and awe campaign to destroy the offender. More and more Americans know the drill. More and more are bullied into silence and compliance.
