Netanyahu to lead effort in thwarting Obama bid for UN chief
By YASSER OKBI/ MAARIV HASHAVUA \ 01/08/2016
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remembers well just how US President Barack Obama brushed aside Israeli objections and went ahead with the P5+1 nuclear agreement with Iran.
Now, Netanyahu is reportedly planning some personal payback.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, Netanyahu will make common cause with moderate Arab governments in order to sabotage Obama’s plan to succeed Ban Ki-moon when the South Korean diplomat ends his term as United Nations secretary-general on December 31 of this year.
Al-Jarida quoted sources as saying that Obama has already discussed the issue of running for secretary-general with Democrats, Republicans, and Jewish officials in the US.
The sources said that once Netanyahu got wind of Obama’s plans, the prime minister began to make efforts to submarine what he has referred to as “the Obama project.”
“Wasn’t eight years of having Obama in office enough?” Netanyahu is quoted in the Kuwaiti daily as telling associates. “Eight years during which he ignored Israel? And now he wants to be in a position that is liable to cause us hardships in the international arena.”
“Obama is the worst president Israel has had to deal with and the worst president for the Middle East and its allies, the moderate Arab states,” a Netanyahu aide is quoted as saying.

Kuwaiti Media: Obama to Seek UN Secretary Generalship
By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz January 8, 2016
“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous shoot, and he shall reign as king and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The LORD is our righteousness.” (Jeremiah 23:5)
Al –Jarida, an Arabic language Kuwaiti magazine, published an article on Friday claiming that US President Barack Obama has set his sights on becoming the next Secretary General of the United Nations when he leaves the Oval Office in one year. If true, and if he succeeds in this endeavor, Obama would be replacing the present Secretary General, South Korean Ban Ki-Moon, who is serving his second five-year term in the position. Moon’s term as Secretary General is set to end December 31, 2016, coincidentally 21 days before Obama’s second term as President ends. Al-Jarida attributed the rumor to “informed sources”.
The article also claimed that upon hearing of President Obama’s plans, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu “vowed to counter his campaign”. They quoted Netanyahu as saying, “Eight years of Obama’s judgments and marginalizing Israel was not enough? Now he wants to be in a position to cause us trouble in the international forum?”

Will Obama Be The Next UN General-Secretary?
By Kade Hawkins January 10, 2016
Is it possible we could see Hillary Clinton as the 45th President of the United States while former President Barack Obama sits as the acting Secretary General of the United Nations?
This nightmare scenario for conservatives is beginning to gain some traction as rumors are emerging that Israel is taking preventive action to make sure this never happens.
Current UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon's term is scheduled to end December 31, 2016, coincidentally, 21 days before President Obama's term in office is also to end. ...
Tensions between Obama and Netanyahu have been no secret over the years as the US has moved farther away from supporting Israel's positions on a multitude of issues. That being said, some analysts doubt that a newspaper in Kuwait, a country who had no direct ties with Israel, would be privy to such inside information from Israeli sources.
However, a recent editorial in Canada's National Post has suggested that many of Obama's policies towards Islam have been made with this larger agenda in mind. Barbara Kay and Robert Cutler make some startling suggestions in their piece,
"Obama will still be a young man when he leaves the presidency. His multiple policy failures (which are failures by his own self-imposed yardsticks: Russia, Iran, Israel-Palestine, Syria) will not have diminished the capacious ego that he brought, and which brought him, to the White House.

Obama, King Of The World? It's Quite Possible
BY THOMAS MCARDLE 01/12/2016
IBD warned over a year and a half ago that President Obama wasn't about to spend his post-presidency building houses, like Jimmy Carter, but that there were discernible signs that he would seek to become secretary-general of the United Nations.
In the West Point speech he gave in May 2014, IBD pointed out that the president denied the reality of the American global decline he has engineered. "Think about it," he told the assembled cadets. "Our military has no peer."
It was disturbingly similar to Carter's pathetic 1979 "malaise" speech, in which Carter boasted of "the outward strength of America, a nation that is at peace tonight everywhere in the world, with unmatched economic power and military might" — as Americans suffered gasoline lines stretching blocks.
Just as Obama was bestowed a Nobel Peace Prize before his chair in the Oval Office was even warm — for "multilateral diplomacy," according to the Nobel Committee, and for placing an "emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play" — the UN, with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's term ending in early 2017, could make Obama "president of the world."
Numerous news organizations are now reporting that the effort to crown Obama chief of the corrupt, tyrant-loving international body has begun.

One glimmer of hope I can see in this, if he really wants to become sec-gen of the un, perhaps he won't declare martial law this summer or early fall, because if he remains the president of the US, he cant' be sec-gen. So perhaps we have a chance to elect a strong president who will get us out of the un, stand up to obama, and negotiate a treaty with Putin. I am praying for this to happen, because only God can help us now.
