Thank you for the additional detail.  I've already prayed this morning, but now can pray specifically for the things you mentioned (and I just stopped and did that, before continuing here).

It's 8:40 Eastern time as I type this, and Kel just texted me a few minutes ago saying they are at the hospital now and Jeanette's surgery will start in a couple of hours (supposed to start at 7:00 Pacific time).  She had also said last week that it's more serious than they originally thought, so if anyone sees this today, please join me in praying for Jeanette's protection and that God will be with her doctors and nurses, in addition to the other things mentioned above.

Jeanette was in surgery about 2-1/2 hours. She's now in recovery and doing fine, as far as I know. Thank you so much for praying!

Jeanette is feeling better. She is handling her meds well and is taking her time to get back on her feet. Its been two weeks or so since they caught the aneurysms

I"m doing ok. We just cleaned up the yard for fall. Getting some rain this week and I didn't want a mess.. you know? Have a bistro & a ice bucket cooler to make for a customer. Hoping we get more big orders! The couple we've had have been a blessing! God has blessed us and David and I enjoy it.

I got a job at the Rec Center! I'm pretty excited about. I have orientation on the 12th.

I finally called my mom, after not talking for two weeks.. now, if i hadn't heard from my daughter or son in that long, I would call and check on them!! So I finally got through and I thought we had a decent conversation.. last Saturday. when she answered, I did say.. Hey! You're alive!! she laughed.. We chatted a little, I told her I got the job at the rec center and I was excited about my new job opportunity & she said; "well? You won't be making your 20$ an hour..." I said? It's not about the money mom. It's about change. after a short bit later, she wanted to get off the phone & she said she would call me on Tuesday the 29th.

I have yet to hear from her

it makes me sad. but honestly, I don't know what else to say or do. For some reason she just seems to not want a real relationship with me. only one she can dictate. or so it seems to me.

my heart hurts.

but, my family is good. Killian is getting anxious, he really wants to sign another contract for overseas. We found out his agent was shady, and spoke horribly to Killian, so Killian fired him. He had another agent and attorney help him through the legal process.

I know the Lord has a plan. but I have one anxious kid.

Devyn is doing really well. They are training her for management and she just joined a Rugby team.. lol.. I am hoping this brings new friends into her life that are positive and not like what she has been
dealing with the last couple years.

my sisters are from her first marriage. they seem to have similar relationship with her, however, I'm the only one that is holding mom accountable, the rest of them let her say and do whatever she wants to them. I just can't. There is no reason to be mean. there was a time it was just the three of them. I am 13 years younger than my oldest sister.

I believe my grandma favored my moms brother, and grandpa favored my moms sister. I do not know my aunt & uncle. things have always been strained there. mom was in charge
of grandmas health and executor of the will. because she was the most responsible. (kind of like me)

its a cycle now that I think about it.

this is a new thing for me, holding what she says accountable. I thought we were always a close family. my sisters didn't approve of my mom telling me when i was 10 that they were my half sisters, however, i never thought that way. they were always my sisters. it wasn't until 4 years ago, when my great niece graduated high school i realized how my oldest sister was, or how she felt about me.   i was sitting next to my middle sister and she was saying hi to all these people and they were saying hi to my mom etc.. i just sat there, smiling. then this one gal said, as my sister introduced me, "oh, I didn't know Aaron (my nephew to my oldest sister) had another aunt?" my oldest sister just looked at me, and looked away. (that was painful)  my middle sister just smiled, not really paying attention.   but my oldest sister has always had separate family gatherings etc.  its also good to know that both my sisters hid from my father that they were married to not so nice men, and my mom hid it from my dad.   and i had told both my sisters, i can not have my kids (who were very young) around these men, because i can not have them lie to their papa, who they were around a lot.  (my kids loved going to grandpa and grandmas house)  - my mom is not that grandma anymore. 


I tried to have a family pow wow before my son got married 2 1/2 years ago, to "lets talk about family dynamics," i love my sisters, but never felt i belonged

my mom and i were close while i was growing up. she was never "overly affectionate" like i am with my kids (grabbing their face and kissing them) but she was my mom. a lot of times, it was just she and i. we had horses and we were always trail riding together

but the last few years have been strained. she just isn't the same.
