Well well this is interesting Some 16,700 Filipino and US troops began annual joint military exercises in the Philippines on Monday, amid tensions with China over Beijing's growing assertiveness in the region. The exercises, dubbed Balikatan, or "shoulder to shoulder," include testing weaponry and equipment. This year, the drills also include the mock retaking of "occupied" islands in the South China Sea. In recent months, China and the Philippines have been at odds over territorial disputes in the South China Sea, with Chinese coast guard vessels frequently harassing Philippine boats with water cannons. www.dw.com/en/us-philippines-kick-off-combat-drills-in-south-china-sea/a-68885289

Well Passover going start tonight depend on your time zone but Israel they already start it JERUSALEM, Israel – Jews worldwide and throughout Israel will celebrate the Feast of Passover Monday night. While they celebrate the freedom from the bondage of ancient Egypt, they also grieve for the more than 100 hostages still in Hamas captivity, as Tuesday will mark the 200th day since the massacre and kidnappings on October 7th. On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to return all of the hostages. “On this Seder night, our hostages being held by Hamas are before our eyes," he declared. "Their suffering and the suffering of their families rends our hearts and only strengthens our resolve to bring them back.” Netanyahu also took to social media to thank the U.S. Congress for passing critical military aid for Israel over the weekend. He wrote on X that the bill "demonstrates strong bipartisan support for Israel and defends Western Civilization. Remember we going put sanctions on IDF unit well Bibi is not happy Netanyahu critical of reported US plans to sanction IDF unit Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other ministers have sharply criticized the reported plans of the Biden administration to sanction a unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for alleged human rights abuses in the occupied West Bank. The alleged abuses precede Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7 and are said to have involved members of the Netzah Yehuda battalion in the occupied West Bank. Netanyahu posted on X at the weekend: “Sanctions must not be imposed on the Israel Defense Forces!” "At a time when our soldiers are fighting the monsters of terror, the intention to impose a sanction on a unit in the IDF is the height of absurdity and a moral low," Netanyahu said. WHOA that alot of bodies Nearly 300 bodies found in mass grave in Nasser hospital, says Gaza Civil Defense A mass grave with nearly 300 bodies has been uncovered at the Nasser hospital in southern Gaza by Gaza Civil Defense workers, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area on April 7. "We have recovered 283 bodies of martyrs from the mass grave in the courtyard of the Nasser Medical Complex since the withdrawal of the Israeli army,” Colonel Yamen Abu Suleiman, Director of Civil Defense in Khan Younis, told CNN Monday. The city of Khan Younis has been left in ruins after a months-long Israeli offensive. Suleiman claimed that some of the bodies had been found with hands and feet tied. "There were signs of field executions. We do not know if they were buried alive or executed. Most of the bodies are decomposed," he said. CNN is unable to verify Suleiman’s claims and cannot confirm the causes of death among the bodies being unearthed. CNN has put a number of questions to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) about the discovery of the mass grave. Here more update yeah probably searching for guns Devastation in Gaza as Israel wages war on Hamas Aid missions to hospitals in northern Gaza hampered by checkpoint delays, WHO says From CNN's Ibrahim Dahman Efforts to reach two hospitals in northern Gaza over the weekend were only partly successful because of delays at checkpoints and ongoing fighting, according to Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization. "On 20 April, WHO and partners could only partially complete their mission to Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda hospitals due to severe delays at checkpoints and ongoing hostilities," Tedros wrote Monday on X. As a result, he said "fuel and medical supplies did not reach Kamal Adwan, for the second time in the last 7 days, and partners were also unable to assess needs at Al-Awda to support restoration of services. This is further increasing the health risks of critical patients being treated there.” The mission was nonetheless able to evacuate four critically edition.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/israel-hamas-war-gaza-news-04-22-24/index.html

Prosecutors believe the three may have been involved in research projects that could be useful for China to expand its maritime power. What are the allegations? I like to know what happen on failure why they say YO attack is comin The head of Israel's military intelligence directorate resigned on Monday over failure to stop Hamas' shock assault that sparked the war in Gaza. Israel announced on Monday the head of its intelligence corps has resigned over failures surrounding Hamas’ unprecedented 7 October attack, which broke through Israel’s vaunted defences. Aharon Haliva, the head of Israel’s military intelligence, has become the first senior Israeli figure to step down because of the surprise assault, which killed 1,200 people and saw roughly 250 more taken captive. In his resignation letter provided by the military Haliva said: "The intelligence directorate under my command did not live up to the task we were entrusted with. I carry that black day with me ever since, day after day, night after night. I will carry the horrible pain of the war with me forever." www.euronews.com/2024/04/22/israeli-chief-resigns-over-failure-to-prevent-october-7-attack

Breaking news... The European Union has reached a political agreement to tighten sanctions on Iran in retaliation for the recent barrage launched against Israel. The sanctions are designed to curtail the exports of EU-made components used in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or drones, and ballistic missiles. The bloc had previously set up a dedicated regime to target Iranian-made drones, which the country has used to prop up Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The so-called "kamikaze" Shahed drones have been launched against critical infrastructure and residential buildings, killing dozens, and possibly hundreds, of Ukranians. The scheme has also blacklisted people and entities involved in Iran's UAV programme through travel bans and asset-freezing measures. www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/04/22/eu-countries-agree-to-slap-new-sanctions-on-iran-to-curtail-drone-and-missile-production

This broke in overnight cycles Two Japanese military helicopters crashed into the Pacific Ocean late on Saturday, with one crew member confirmed dead and seven others still missing. The two helicopters were conducting training "to counter submarines at night" when the incident occurred, said Defense Minister Minoru Kihara. What do we know about the crash? The helicopters were training off the Izu Islands when communication was lost with them. Rescuers "spotted what are believed to be part of the aircraft in the sea, and we believe that the two helicopters crashed," Kihara said. He added that the flight recorders were retrieved and the ministry was analyzing the cause of the incident, "including possibility of a collision between the two." www.dw.com/en/japan-1-dead-7-missing-in-military-helicopter-crash/a-68880524

With US tech probably strong if they draft Orthrodox Jewish students be stronger In case of an extended armed conflict between Israel and Iran, Israel would have to reckon with factors that are difficult to assess. The most pressing aspect is whether Iran's non-state allies would take part in such a conflict. Iran's most important ally in the Middle East is the Hezbollah in Lebanon. Furthermore, the Houthi militia in Yemen and a number of Shiite militias in Iraq could also become involved or be recruited by Iran as military supporters. "Israel has been long preparing for the risk of such a multi-front war," Arye Sharuz Shalicar, a spokesperson for the Israeli army, told DW. The focus has been on three aspects in particular, he said. www.dw.com/en/israel-iran-escalation-how-strong-is-israels-military/a-68859030

According to the Kuwaiti Hospital, the first strike killed a man, his wife, and their 3-year-old child. The hospital said the woman was pregnant, and the doctors managed to save the baby. News agencies cited Gaza’s civil defense agency as saying the second strike killed 17 children and two women, all from the same extended family. I be doing that Khnarori if I were you LOL! Iran's Khamenei congratulates military for attack on Israel Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has thanked his country's military for their "success" after the country's first-ever direct attack on Israel from its own territory, last weekend. The 85-year-old leader on Sunday called upon the armed forces to "ceaselessly pursue military innovation and learn the enemy's tactics." Iran sent a barrage of more than 300 missiles, drones, and rockets at Israel from Saturday into Sunday last week, although some 99% of these were intercepted by Israel and its allies. It was in retaliation for an airstrike on the Iranian consular building in Damascus. Khameini said the key issue was that Iran had shown its power in attacking Israel, not the number of missiles launched or that penetrated Israel's defenses. www.dw.com/en/middle-east-updates-israel-angered-by-possible-us-sanctions/live-68881098

Bibi going for it Netanyahu vows to increase 'military pressure' on Hamas Israel will increase "military pressure" on the Palestinian militant group Hamas to secure the release of hostages held in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. "In the coming days we will increase the military and political pressure on Hamas because this is the only way to free our hostages," Netanyahu said in a video statement on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Passover. He also threatened "additional and painful blows," without giving details. Despite an international outcry, Netanyahu has repeatedly said the army will launch a ground assault on Rafah, a southern Gaza town that has so far escaped an Israeli invasion and where more than 1.5 million Palestinians have sought refuge. Israel and Hamas have been in indirect negotiations for months over a cease-fire and the release of more hostages taken in the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. This is breaking I am not sure what going on Israel blasts reported plan to sanction IDF battalion The Israeli government has responded with indignation after a report that the United States plans to sanction a West Bank unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Under the reported plan, members of the Netzah Yehuda unit — which is accused of human rights breaches — would be barred from receiving US military support or training. A report by the US news outlet Axios said it had information from three US government sources that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken would announce the sanctions within days. The decision is based on incidents that all took place in the West Bank and occurred before the October 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel, the report said. The unit was withdrawn from the West Bank in 2022. It reportedly comes after an assessment of several IDF and police units accused of human rights violations. The other units will not be sanctioned after they remedied their behavior, Axios said. The decision would comply with the 1997 "Leahy Law," which bans foreign aid and defense training programs for foreign security and military units that are credibly guilty of human rights www.dw.com/en/middle-east-updates-israel-angered-by-possible-us-sanctions/live-68881098

Residents in four Serb-majority municipalities in northern Kosovo cast their votes on Sunday on removing their ethnic Albanian mayors from office. The referendum, endorsed by Western nations, aims to alleviate tensions between Kosovo and neighbouring Serbia, both aspiring for European Union membership. An estimated 46,500 residents are anticipated to participate in 47 polling stations, with a majority vote required for the mayors to step down. In June, Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti proposed new elections in North Mitrovica, Zvecan, Leposavic, and Zubin Potok if 20 per cent of the municipalities' electorates supported a petition for the polls. Residents voted in favour of the petition in January. they trading strikes Israeli military and Hezbollah trade strikes From CNN's Mia Alberti in Beirut and Tamar Michaelis The fighting between Israel and Hezbollah that has flared since October 7 continued on Saturday. The Israel Defense Forces said about 10 launches were detected from southern Lebanon, and sirens were activated five times on Saturday morning. On its Telegram channel, the IDF also said aircraft had struck a Hezbollah structure in the area of Aita al-Shaab, as well as a “terrorist who operated in Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the area of Kfarkela (Kfar Kila) in southern Lebanon.” CNN cannot independently confirm the IDF claims about "terrorist infrastructure." Later Saturday, Hezbollah said it targeted two buildings used by the IDF in Shlomi, northern Israel, in response to strikes in Aita al-Shaab and Kfar Kila. The militant group said the Israeli strikes targeted "civilian homes." The Lebanese National News Agency also reported a house was destroyed in the strike in Aita al-Shaab.
