I've been thinking about the rapture a lot lately and talking to the Lord about it and realized something that I've never really reflected on much before. We're all very aware that God spoke everything into existence and that Jesus is the Word. We're all familiar with all the times Jesus simply spoke a word and healed people while He was here before. We've all read in Revelation about how God calls the two prophets up to heaven after resurrecting them. And we're all excitedly waiting for the Lord to call us to come and join Him in the air, right? (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
We know that the instant He calls us, our bodies will begin to rise to meet Him. It won't matter whether the person believes or even knows about the rapture. It won't matter if they want to go or not (although I can't imagine anyone not wanting to!) There will be no warning, no discussion, no questions and answers, just a command; and we will obey because our bodies will have no choice in the matter.
For the very first time in our conscious memories, we will personally experience the commanding voice of our God. This is the voice Jesus used when He cursed the fig tree when He was here before. It's the voice He used when He called the stars and planets into being, and the voice He used when He formed our bodies in our mothers womb. It's the voice He uses when He calls the two prophets Home after they've completed their mission during the tribulation in Revelation 11:12.
And to know that His command for us to rise to meet Him contains another command in it - the command for our bodies to change - (1 Corinthians 15:51–54) and again, the command will be obeyed instantly and we will be in immortal, incorruptible bodies with no sin nature! Doesn't that just give you goosebumps???? It sure does me! I can't wait!!!!!
Even so, Come Lord Jesus!

Doesn't that just give you goosebumps???? It sure does me! I can't wait!!!!! It sure does Cindy and I pray every day for Him to come get us! You know our loving God is a Just and caring God and that he will also do right by those who through no fault of their own have never heard of Him or His Word?
He will do right even by those who have never ever even heard of Him or any other name associated with and to God. God has revealed His method of dealing with these people even those who have never heard the gospel. In Romans 2:12-16 it is written that God will do right by every man according to the light he has received.
He said, "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets fo men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."

Hi Cindy.I believe we are so close to the Rapture. When that last person gets saved, whomever they may be ,I think the Lord will call for us then. Then I hear of all the persecution of Christians around the world and even stronger battle to take all our religious rights we were born with in this country. It is happening so fast, losing our liberties. And so many Christians are asleep in these times, they aren't even aware of it!But in China, and Korea and Africa there is a wild growing of the Church,as in the first days, when there was so much persecution. They are brave beyond human ability. The Spirit is working hard all over the world to show His power. And He can't be beaten.I haven't heard anything about the Church in Russia.Have you?I am sure He is working there ,too,I just don't know much about it(nothing actually). But I also say, even so Come Lord Jesus.Love Ruthanne

I'm hearing many sermons on the Rapture. Pastors saying it wont be long, it will happen soon, all signs are pointing to a soon to happen rapture.
Jesus said that the angels don't know when the rapture will happen, He also said that even He does not know. So if the angels don't know then Satan also doesn't know when it will happen. Only the Father knows according to Jesus.
Mark 13:4, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
Jesus replied,
Mark 13:32, But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Scripture also states that Satan knows that he has but a short time.
Revelation 12:12,Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Taking in the fact that we and Satan live in eternity future, Satan knew he had but a short time the day he rebelled against the Father, and the fact the Jesus defeated him by His death and resurrection. Any length of time cut from a life to be lived in eternity, no matter when this occurs will be but a short time.
The disciples asked Jesus when will this all occur?
Mark 13:4, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
5, And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6, For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 7, And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8, For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. 9, But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. 10, And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
All these things so far at one time or another have been happening since Jesus returned to Heaven and sent the Holy Spirit to keep us and guide us. The only thing I can see that has not yet occurred is the fact the gospel has not yet been preached among all nations.
There have been tribes found deep in South America, Papua New Guinea, and other parts of the Earth that have not yet even heard of God, the gospel, or Jesus.
"And the gospel must first be published among all nations."
So when will it be?
Mark 13:33, Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34, For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35, Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36, Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37, And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
So when will it be?
Lets forget the word "SOON." Soon, in the time frame of eternity can be any time. It can be 10, 50, 100, or a thousand years or more.
Only the Father knows when, and Jesus knows this much, Jesus commands us to be ever ready, for it can happen any time!

The disciples were asking about his second coming, not the rapture. Besides which this thread isn't about when it's going to happen, it's about what's going to happen, lol
