Advisory: Because it's often used in school, I'm posting this in more than one techie-board/forum
(college cafe in tapatalk, bleepingcomputer, and in here).
Windows 7 Pro; Admin, Std accts -- "Class not registered, Class ID: {00021401-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}" box with an OK button. Both the Administrator and Stoller accounts generate this error whenever attempting to install any program or utility. Have already done the F8/Safe Mode with DOS-box - running SFC /SCANNOW and ran various clicks with tweaking.com's Windows All in One repair. No change.
I'm wondering if there is a way to do a non-destructive "dirty" (re)install of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit? Or, is there a 3rd party utility that addresses this problem, free or fee?
I'm not looking to compare/contrast answers amongst boards, just looking for any good answer set!
